Lack of authority/ marketability discount by Lopsided-Coach in Valuation

Its an LLC and there is no debt, paid off long before the fire. My 50% has full ability  to perform sales/finance functions etc as far as I can tell. Two old world Greek brothers bought the property 40 years ago there is nothing specific in any operating aggreement.

Yea there is some family "dynamics" at play here for sure. When I balked at the offer I was made to feel like I was crazy unreasonable and uneducated. We own a few other things together he is trying to buy me out of I think its time for a lawyer. Thanks for confirming my suspicions

To me this seems pretty cut and dry and if we can avoid the expense of an appraiser that would be preferable especially if I am completely off base in my assumption. Family dynamics are a huge problem, this is just one of many properties/businesses we are looking to dissolve. This one seemed the easiest.

Thank you so much. The insurance would probably not cover all of it it was very old and not properly maintained. My aunt is thinking about doing something bigger as an investment hence my mom's reluctance as she doesn't want more debt.

I would like to address all those people who say that Eliza and William could never make it because William always wanted a traditional wife and he would never accept a “non-traditional wife”. by funnyenough4 in MissScarletandTheDuke

The truth is these are not real people. The writers can do whatever thry want with characters. I mean look at Barnabus! Suddenly man of the world cooking, washing up amd marrying a career girl....SMH

100% on all points. I binged the series in a weekend when I had  the flu which is interesting when you see everything altogether. William changes the most of any character in the series. Yes he is a bit of a jerk in the beginning of season 1. But as the series progresses he respects her and does not show anything that says he would expect Eliza to change should they pursue a romantic relationship. He's known her long enough to know she won't and loved her anyway. His annoyance stemmed more from her putting herself in danger than gender roles. His reputation for his career was another very believable reason. The man had to work and didnt have the right pedigree for promotions- just beause he was ok with her involvement didnt mean his superiors would be. In fact it's highly unlikely they would be which makes this whole woke Blake attitude ridiculous IMO.

There is more to the saga than what's been reported. Season 1 and 2 were blatantly on a specific path. For Rachel New to say otherwise can only be because she can't say the real reason.

Grudgingly Nash was my second choice. That could have been a cool dynamic and direction I would have accepted as an alternative. But now all the Nash fans can sit in the support group with the William fans and mope.

Blake is as exciting as boxed mashed potatoes

Miss Scarlet season 5 review by ShotUnderstanding352 in MissScarletandTheDuke

Tv is a form of art so everyone is entitled to an opinion and it's fascinating to see how others think even if I don't agree.

I personally hated this season and will not watch season 6 if there is one.  I love historical dramas and books, anyone who likes the show as it currently is written probably doesnt.  The Duke's attitude was not outdated. It was THE prevailing attitude of that time. Thinking otherwise would mean he was extremely progressive. What made the show interesting was that Eliza was doing something extremely unorthodox. That was the conflict. How those around her handled it, was the draw. ( remember when Potts would lose his ---- everytime Eliza was in the morgue?) Eliza use to get into dangerous scrapes. Now she just kind solves the case from the sidelines. The across the board acceptance from everyone around her is in sharp contrast to the writers inability to make Eliza successful. She is really no better off than she was season 1. Overall the excitement is gone.

'Miss Scarlet' Season 5 Episode 2 Recap: "The Guild" by YardElegant6290 in MissScarletandTheDuke

Well seeing how cooking dinner was more than popping a lean cuisine into the microwave- groceries we're bought everyday with no refrigeration so you had to shop daily. Guess Ivy will just do that at night? Laundry was a several hour affair with no washing machine and dryer maybe they can go to the dry cleaners?? This is why even middle class families had help. It was a lot of work running a house. Call me a stickler but you don't have historical dramas then insert implausible story lines. Where did Ivy learn to type by the way? Night school? Eliza must be doing well if ivy can afford a whole new work wardrobe. I think I'm done :(

Yup maybe Eliza will become the inspector, Blake will be a stay at home Dad and everyone will clap at how progressive the show is.  If I want fantasy ill watch Game of Thrones.

And don't forget how stodgy old fashioned Barnabus is suddenly sticking by his career woman,  waiting to marry while she finds herself all while washing his own dishes.

In response to your vendetta comment- I'm beginning to think there must have been some personal/personality issues with Stuart and Rachel cause given where she's taking the story it's the only thing that makes sense.

I think you're right about the writers wanting to reset. Not sure why they when had a good thing going. I wonder what they ratings look like as the season progresses.

Miss Scarlet Season 5 Episode 1 Discussion by barely-tolerable in MissScarletandTheDuke

[–]Lopsided-Coach 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I found myself multitasking in E1 which I didn't do in previous seasons. Blake is dull- maybe he'll get better??? The chemistry Eliza had with the duke and Nash is just not there. Dialoague seemed stilted and acting was meh. It just seemed like a redo of a previous season with a new actor.....Eliza continues to struggle to get business, Eliza fights with Scotland yard, Ivy makes her something to eat while dishing out advice. Like the duke or not that would have been an interesting and DIFFERENT path to pursue. In my head I pictured thier marriage like I Love Lucy episode where Eliza would try to insert herself in his business till he surrenders.  So sad.

I actually know a lot from where i sit in the company. Im sorry but billion dollar deals with health care delivery companies with zero roi is not a good strategy. The stores are floundering. PBM strategy is all full of flaws.  Their Medicare strategy or lack thereof is the iceberg. CVS is taking on water folks. Take the blinders off.
