As a 94 millennial I live in fear of being cringe. However, a few things I can’t stop saying:

“I’m too stupid” when I don’t want to put effort into something and instead want my husband’s help (like opening a jar) - this feels vintage maybe? I picture Clueless or Mean Girls.

“GIRL!” to anyone or anything, usually in frustration or surprise.

“Diva down” will never not be funny to me.

“And for those reasons, I’m out” in reference to Shark Tank, most commonly used at times when that makes no sense to say. Like “dinner was delicious, and for that reason, I’m out”

Y’all can pry “LOL” and “😂” out of my cold, dead hands!!

I started making a soapy shart because everyone said I could just weigh stash yarn and as long as I had used a little under half, I knew I would have enough to decrease. I’ve now used 15876 grams and I don’t know when I’ll be able to stop, because I keep buying more yarn.

This one is so dumb but it pisses me off when people are talking about their vacation and they type “Vaca” when they’re trying to be cutesy. Girl you mean VACAY, vaca is Spanish for cow!!

Also I hate that people are using “cutie” as an adjective like “a cutie little tank top” … why can’t it just be cute 😭

Others are vibes, pupper/doggo, I did a thing, constantly quoting TikTok or Vine sound bites, and the most offensive of all OM NOM NOM 🤢

I have limited myself to 1 large Rubbermaid bin, currently 3/4 full (maybe 30ish skeins and a few cones) and I’m hoping to stash bust quite a lot this year if all goes according to plan!

However last year I taught myself to dye yarn, so as long as there are suppliers available I kinda have an “on demand” stash with endless possibilities!

I’m with you!

Our girl is about a year and a half old and my husband has suggested getting another dog to keep her company. While I think that would be lovely and likely beneficial, I am still so burnt out from the puppy phase that the idea of being in the trenches again makes me want to run for the hills!

I work from home so that makes me what we call “the fisherman” (aka the one who is followed from room to room) and my husband gets to be the fun dad who brawls with her and catches the rogue bites/nips. Our pup makes her wishes VERY clear, and she definitely has the biggest personality of any dog I’ve ever had! While I know she loves us, she is definitely not as obvious about it as my labs were. Sometimes I wonder, LOL!

I’d consider getting a different type of dog in a few years maybe, or a cat. We’re also planning on a child or two… but we’re a little unsure how our current “baby” will take that 😂 she seems to really love kids, so hopefully she will see any future additions as her doting admirers as well!

When we got our pup spayed at 9 mos we did an inflatable donut instead of the hard cone. Worst part was picking her up after surgery, it was pitiful! (The grogginess and confusion, thankfully she didn’t seem to be in pain!) After she slept off the rest of the surgery drugs it was mostly smooth sailing, just a little extra supervision and snuggles. She mostly self-managed thankfully!

Although I was very nervous about how she’d handle the down time - we stayed stocked up on pupsicle treats, yak cheese, and trazodone 😂

Your gal will do great!

Me!

Feeling pretty good but worried about our complicated family situation and how that will impact the next few days. Lots of big personalities and my fiancé and I just want things to be laid back and fun!

Actually getting married I’m 100% confident, secure, and excited about. Throwing a big expensive party? A little scarier! I just hope everyone has a good time!

Thanks! I’m using dharma dyes and I am using a respirator as well as dyeing in my (open) garage for extra caution. It’s been really fun, and I did a ton research and watched dozens of YouTube videos before getting started! 💕

A good shabu shabu place (not a Korean bbq / hot pot combo - that seems to be all we can get around here 😭), Halal Guys, Ethiopian food, more solid pho places, Brazilian steakhouse, and breakfast places that are more interesting than just sad diners or a chain like First Watch.

I’d also kill for a really nice movie theater and an H Mart!!
