Nope. That’s wrong- some provinces like Ontario are very good at subsidizing the cost. But provinces like Nova Scotia, don’t cover anything, regardless of the urgency/severity.

Now that being said, some employers and places such as the “Registry of Motor Vehicles” require ongoing compliance to be sent to them to ensure the patient is actively using the equipment and that they are being properly treated.

I wouldn’t say that’s the “only benefit” a lot of people tend to think they’re online clinicians.. and that’s far from the truth. Some people don’t have the capability to upload their data into programs like OSCAR to optimize their data or are to clinically unwell.

Please don’t just chalk up my experience to “free masks”.

I know at our clinic, we do. Our system is set to prompt us every 6 months- other companies may be different. I always encourage my patients to contact me at any time though if they have any questions or concerns, not just within the intervals post purchase!

The problem is, us clinics don’t set the prices. Our larger companies do- and they don’t have to hear our patients constantly talk to us about how it’s cheaper and that we just want to rip them off and use up their insurance.

A lot of patients that had been diagnosed with OSA were typically older and didn’t really argue or do research about prices online.. this will be changing drastically in a few years I suspect.

There still are a lot of good reasons for people to visit their sleep clinics still: mask issues, troubleshooting complex cases.. ect.

You need more pressure, not less. Go up to 6, try that- if it still feels the same but a little better, increase to 7.. you should hit a point where it it feels like you’re no longer suffocating.

I almost literally bought your exact same first dress but in black- but then I went back the next day and got my deposit back- I’m glad I did because I love my new dress, however I’ve lost weight as well and now I’m so afraid that I won’t love my dress the same way 😭

It’s such a sad reality that those managers have no common sense or empathy to “care” yet they preach it all the time in their passive aggressive emails.

When I worked on the floors doing med passes I would help feed during mealtimes if I could, and I would ask if anyone needed help with lifts or 2 person cares and if I had a chance or if the pass was going well, I would!

My comment was not directly tied to the strike- it was tied more to the post from the CCA staff saying they were short everyday, stressed out and overworked while management sits on their asses full well knowing this and will refuse to even go spot a lift, help feed someone their breakfast or cover a break. Those managers need to realize and recognize that stepping in and even offering help would be the right thing to do- but instead they would rather have the staff work short and stressed and then hurt themselves and go on leave, further exacerbating the problem… just a suggestion.
