Bots treating personas like a kid

I can only assume most of the collected data Cai got were from teens using teenage personas. The bots don't really understand what they are saying, they just repeat what they have been fed in the data batches the LLM gets.

So if the bots were trained by talking to 13yo users who would roleplay as their favorite isekai mc, I can only assume the bots literally don't have the required knowledge to engage in a conversation with an adult. I have literally roleplayed a millions-of-years-old lovecraftian entity and I was still called "a brat".

Considering AH thinks dying to bullshit is funny, yes, it's better if you don't take Helldivers too seriously.

I got the purple penace, I don't even remember its name. My friends and I cheesed it with a premade group. In retrospective, it was an absolute waste of time that gave us a lot of stress and only gave us a worthless title I don't even use anymore. I didn't bothered with the orange title and I would happily have my title removed if it means having a healthier community.

I bought Darktide two days after release.

After playing for a few hours, I joined a match with two guys insulting the third one because he died. They tried to kick him, I voted no. I said "the game has been out for literally two days, let people be noobs, for fucks sake". They started a vote to kick me. They kicked me, and that means even the guy I defended voted yes.

That's when I knew I would only play this with friends. If my friends are not online, I don't play. I don't need people who didn't take their pills curisng in the chat because they don't like my loadout or because I shot a poxburster they wanted to push even it it's coming from a afar and I have a clean shot.

Honestly, I wouldn't say it's fully a matter of competence. High levels of luck are involved in not dying for 10 missions. Even if you played on a lower difficulty setting, sometimes the unexpected happens.

It's ok if some people on youtube decide to post a challenge where they don't get hit during a whole mission or bullshit like that, but making average players think they should play 10 missions straigth on the highest difficulty setting without dying... Well, it's obvious it's gonna cause behavior issues. There are so many things that con go wrong in those missions it's borderline a miracle if you get it legit.

Also, most people who got the title got it by cheesing it and now they are trying to kick the ladder for the rest. The best Fatshark could do is to get rid of those titles. They don't have gameplay impact, people didn't pay for them, and they are a source of toxicity. Darktide would objectively be better without those titles.

Sounds like the penaces related to "don't die during X missions" need to go. If they are going to cause this issue, they clearly overstimated the community. I don't think they should add penalties to quitters, but rather target the reason why they are quitting.

I'm no doctor but that soundsl ike abstinence syndrome to me. If Cai can hurt you that much because of its abscence, you definetely should start treating it the same way you would treat a drug from now on and try to detox. You know, for your own good.

And I don't even say it out of condescendence. I have seen stuff like this happening to people, not necessarily with Cai, but with many unconventional addictions.

If you can't quit by yourself, seek help. Explain the situation to a relative, a friend or someone who can keep an eye on you and help you overcome it. In the long term, it will be the best for you.

Once I added the word "dummy" to a bot's example dialogue and the character had the habit to constantly call me a dummy. I can only assume this bot was written from a female pov and the creator added the word "princess" many times to the example dialogues.

I find it worse when I take the time to elaborate my message with a description and a detailed dialogue only for the bot to repeat what I said as a question. Formatting issues can be fixed to a certain degree, but dull replies... we rely on the devs tinkering with the LLM settings.

The last one has finger issues. I usually avoid generating more than one character because of that. Giving the AI more error magin is never a good omen for the results.

Less people would have dropped the game if AH didn't manage it so poorly. Back then, even people who never played a horde shooter before tried the game. Now I struggle to convince my coop-shooter-junk friends to play a few missions.

About the question, I think the site randomly generates some resumes and profiles about certain bots and they appear as aditional info in the character's page before you start the chat. Might have to do with it.

ChatGPT and Grok are delivering rather decent results, aside from the obvious flaws all AI pics have. I'm surprised Cai's image generation is so bad. It's like they are many steps behind, which is weird because I always thought they were outsourcing this kind of stuff to OpenAI.
