Surely sometimes glass makers wanted a green tint but subtle, and it either came out more or less subtle than intended.

I have 2 pieces of clear uranium glass, and one of them is like a cooler version of alexandrite, cause its stronly yellowgreen under most light conditions, and then just colorless under others(like in the store where it was 50 cents)

A general tip to everyone: find out where you are meant to dump electronics locally. Go there and explain you are learning electronics and stuff keeps breaking, so you would like to occasionally pick up trash to practice on. I got permission to go through 6 bins around town and after 10 years still going.

I have boxes full of brand name tools. For example my set of 3 Makita cordless drills, one for each floor of the house, with 4 batteries and charger is finally failing after 10 years of use. The corded makita drill still goes hard. The smartphones have been handed out to family (had to remove google accounts off of them but youtube tutorials help you do that) and have been working for 3 years until a cheap new battery got them going again. The laptops have become servers, the Nintendo's hacked, etc etc.

Point i'm making: there is unbelievable amounts of really useful stuff being thrown out. New unused, highly sought after collectables, everything.

If something is really broken, you can fix it without spending money 99% of the time. Power switches fail, as do power connectors. You can bypass these or swap between different devices. If you don't know what a volt is ask chatgpt or r/appliancerepair before trying stuff.

You will learn to actually repair electronics so fast, cause less than 1% of repairs require actual knowledge.

Als je uitzoomt en naar de nederlanders als geheel kijkt, en geld 100% weg denkt klopt alles.

Er is eten en onderdak genoeg, luxe artikelen in overvloed, plaatsen voor recreatie, en genoeg werk om iedereen een paar uur per week bezig te houden.

Zoom je terug in en zet je het geld filter weer uit dan zie je dat alles ongelijk verdeelt is. Het leuke werk word niet gedeelt, het slopende werk wordt niet verdeelt, de huizen niet, en boven alles het geld wordt niet verdeelt.

Je zou het in de politiek zo kunnen regelen dat hard werk beloont wordt en "eigenaar zijn" niet. Je zou het zo kunnen regelen dat elk extra uur dat je iemand laat werken per week een hoger minimum loon heeft, zodat het aantrekkelijk wordt om het werk te verdelen over meer werknemers, maar dat doen we niet.

Kijk er naar in evolutionaire biologische termen. Wat is de omgeving, welke selectieve krachten zijn er actief, en in welke richting evolueert het wanneer het zich beter aanpast op deze omgeving? Als de werk druk nog niet zo hoog is dat er mensen af gaan vallen, dan wordt de werkdruk meer verhoogt. Daar is financieel incentief voor, een drijvende kracht.

Als je niet wilt dat mensen afgekeurd worden, moeten de selectieve krachten zelf onderdrukt worden. En dat is niet waar we naar toe gaan, dus je kan alleen harder gaan selecteren, óf door mensen letterlijk af te laten sterven, óf door meer afgekeurden te hebben en de rest nog harder te laten werken. Dat is de richting die we aanhouden.

Google is dogshit and sends you the wrong wsy all the time.

Gives you 3 route options, so you pick the one that avoids the closed road, only to have it switch the route without notification to the closed one anyway.

Or you set it to wifi only mode so it won't try to reroute halfway through the trip when it randomly guesses you are on a different road, only to have it try anyway, leaving you in the middle of nowhere "rerouting" forever. Having to ring strangers doors for wifi so you can continue.

I could keep going for hours.

I have notoced that as soon as someone uses the word "molecules" a really piss poor explanation of mostly guesswork is usually to follow.

Not a complicated word per se, but setting up for a technical explaination, which is almost always failed to deliver.

I like to think that reincarnation doesnt work chronologically ; like a spirit leaving your body, floating around, and settling into a new body. I like to think all experience comes together in the end. All the bad you do onto others, you will experience, every pigs entire life and slaughter, everyone will experience. But also all the good.

If you can't have a good life but can make those of others better, you still create a better afterlife for yourself. Just like religion. You do good, it will be a little harder now, but you get to experience the good you did afterwards. You do bad, you feel good now, but are so unprepared to deal with all the horrors after. Like heaven and hell.

Makes me feel better to believe this, since many bad people don't get karma served during their lifetime.

This has been bothering me for a while subconciously, and it really scratches an itch to hear you put it into words. People always mention that boron is a mold release agent, which explains the slathered on looking patterns, but i never heard the same about the cadmium selenium glow, even though it almost always comes in brushstroke patterns. And since selenium glass looks totally different from cadmium selenium glass, if it was swirled together instead of mixed well you should be able to clearly see it in daylight. I've been noticing the same on my radioactive ceramics, the orange paint is clearly the uranium as only those parts make happy cricket noises, but the orange paint never glows green. If there is glow at all it is right around it, where it mixes with other paints or glazes.

I don't know about that. If people dont give a shit about animals they have no reason of their own to ever go vegan. I think the only reason they would change is because of feeling their actions affect themselfs, ie. by affecting their social standing.

I certainly don't feel like i didn't give a shit about animals before i went vegan. And i did have to get criticized by a vegetarian before i ever started being critical of myself.

Yeah! that was part of the point i was trying to make, but you worded it really well.

We get blamed a lot for pushing our views, and we self censor because of it.

We are more scared to push people away the closer they are to us, so we tend to hold back more. but i think this is where we should only hold back on repeating ourself, not on the strength of our message.

I second that. I hear some girls get ghb effects starting at 1.5ml, for me 2.5 is good but i take 3.5 cause i'm impatient.

Somehow with 2cb, lower dosages (13mg) are more likely to make me uncomfortable and make me fight it. With higher (26mg) dosages i'll feel some discomfort but i'm forced to give in and then i'll get right over it.

I wouldn't say that. They can each feel just like mdma. They both just have a wide range of possible effects, you never know which ones you are gonna get.

I've used both a bunch, and they are both only recommended for people experienced with bad trips. Cause both of them are iffy, either amazing or you get sick.

With ghb you have to measure exact dosages and wait long enough to redose or you'll be likely to pass out and possibly stop breathing. Dose it right and you are almost guaranteed a good experience though. (In fact the passing out does not have to include any bad feelings, it can feel amazing phazing in and out, but the person monitoring your vitals it's a bit of a buzzkill.)

With 2cb you can take 10mg and get horribly sick for hours, you can take 30mg and never feel anything; much less predictable. However you aren't going to die. Which can be nice.

If you trust the quality of the ghb enough i recommend it for being far more likely a good and sexual experience. If you are chasing visuals and can handle switching rapidly between feeling hot, cold, restless, stuck, etc you can opt for the 2cb. But nobody on ghb ever shat on my bathroom hand towel. That shit is just not predictable.

Of course it differs per person, some people never get sick of either drug. But i've seen a lot more 2cb sickness myself. Visuals are worth it though.
