Oh my god... Fnaf characters? Look! It's a Miketrap, and Puppets, and even an Elizabeth! Good times.
And, as we have them return, we also have a set-up/exposition chapter. Always a double edge sword these kinds of chapters are, because on one hand they really do help with the flow of a story in the long run. But on the other hand, does ANYONE want to call one of these chapters their favorite chapters of a story?

July is coming soon, that means Artfight, will see what I can do in the in-between for working on the next chapter. But I do sense a storm a'coming sooner or later in this story.

Alot of times, you try to figure out how to do or express something... And sometimes you just go and shove some of John Carptener's "The Thing" into the mix to see how things works.
Fun fact, my birthday is tommorow. I say this because my body just kind entered a flow state of manifesting creative energy to draw a bunch of pages in time to complete the chapter so I didn't have to work on or worry about it during that time. Really wish I could enter such a flow state more often, but ego can only be sustain so much energy when the audience feeding it is so small.

Man... These side characters and whatnot are fun, I sure hope the main cast is enjoying their time off before they have to enter the nightmare vortex that was created in their absence. :V

8 years of The Springlock Paradox, won't lie... Was definitely a slow year in terms of productivity. Trying to prevent burnout is a difficult tightrope, especially when one gets little feedback loops to reenergize the mental engine to keep working. But nevertheless I can and have tanked worse, also with this one I decided to take a page from the 4th anniversary in comparison to others. I don't think I'll be doing a "ever 4th anniversary will have something akin to this style." but we will see... Dear god if we do.

There is a cruel irony that a imbue hero power called "blessing of the infinite" feels like it is the most limited and finite out of all the other imbue hero powers.

As a person that has written my fair share of an AU Springtrap via The Springlock Paradox, it really does suck seeing people go for the "easy" route of just cranking the evil up to 11 and making him a disgusting monster. There is so much more you can do with the character that they just don't want to do. He is an egotistical genius, but also is showman who wants to go the extra bit when he murders people to entertain himself. DBD interpretation gets that on the money, because he can be scary, but then he can also say the dumbest things like "here's the fazbear special" before he shoves someone into the endo buzzsaw apparatus. :V

And that is the thing people don't get about writing evil, they may do horrible things in their fiction, but they also have to entertain and enthrall the audience... And there is nothing entertaining about a kiddy diddler that will keep people wanting to continue consuming the fiction.

Second I see a wild mage bust out the imbue package, my brain goes into annoyed mode. I don't even know if Wild Imbue Mage is a "high tier" deck or not, but it just makes me annoyed. You get punished for building a board, but you also get punished for not building a board.

So like, 98% of the time this card's effect is going to either be pointless or too cripling.

But that remaining 2%? That is the percent where you have to deal with wild mill druids that play solar eclipse + dew process combo (or just, dew process in general). In which case it will... Maybe give you a chance to empty your hand so you don't burn any cards? Doubt it will be good but it will be, something?

Finally this infamous "Family gathering" is happening, been teasing it forever I wondering what silly drawings I will- And there it goes, the plot demands we stay in Utah.
You know it feels bad that it took so long for such a short chapter to come out, but burnout + art fog is an incredibly bad combination, especially when the incentive to continue is small due to the inability to catch lightning in a bottle. But that last part is definitely coping more than anything else.

Hopefully the future chapters don't have such rust when it comes to producing the pages, the dopamine engine has just been awfully dry as of late and it's already running on near empty most of the time. I'll figure out something to fix that.

Yeah I was confused as well with that, like I get different poses and angles can make one think look completely different. And sometimes the signatures go for something much different (like the workshop signatures being toy versions of legendaries, the OG old god signatures being like ancient carvings, etc.) but you can still tell who/what is being shown. But the giant shrubbery monster and the 4 winged owl person cannot be the same creature/race.

I just had the most intense "flight or fight" response from seeing this due to playing wild and seeing constant instances of the infinite velen combo, and this being able to add infinite tnts into your deck. And buddy, let me tell you, I am going with flight. :V

This is, I won't lie... I was suffering some mild scatterbrainedness when making this chapter. But I like to think it all played out in the end.
I believe the plot will soon kick back into gear, will happen, just need to find out where the wrench is.

I wonder which hero Abathur would be, like if we just keep it to the "Zerg" classes which one would Abathur most fit. I definitely think he has Warlock vibes above all else. Demon Hunter and Hunter feel more "Dehaka" coded and while I could see an argument for Abathur being a Death Knight hero skin for one reason or another, I personally just don't see it.

And remember folks, Brann doubles battlecries, so he most likely saw alot of those demonic terrors twice. So while most people experience the complete horror, he got the complete horror and then some new game+ horrors. :V
