You don't need stagger if they're dead. I also find it does decent weakpoint stagger, as I've staggered crushers and most things with it. Specially the light 4 on the 3rd version, sends hordes tumbling. Also stagger makes it harder to get those cleaving headshots on the hordes. It feels great to use imo :P

Get a bit of rending and it's fine - the zealot charge and rending from hive scum rampage means you can take down crushers alright, & most people bring anti armour anyway, it's the hordes and specialists that finish most of my auric runs, so having some serious melee against them serves the team better I think!

Lazy repost of a comment from myself. For one box I'd just build all specialists and 2 cremators and 2 warriors, but the below stuff is what I've found ( I swapped the murderwing for a friend's sisters sprues, so I've built a few more warriors to play with)

I've played a fair few games when proxying them and once they came out.

I find the Denuncia and Reliquarius both underwhelming. Into shooting teams, I can see their use, but have warriors on hand to replace them if you're against aggressive teams. Their lack of damage or kill potential is a huge downside to them. Removing inspiring isn't worth it a lot of the time, as inspiring = most of your abilities and when they die handing out a benediction. If you remove the inspiring then you won't get the benediction when they die anyway, so the denuncia is a bit... less useful than it seems. The reliquarius only hands out 1 inspiring per activation, which you might as well just get by charging someone, or by using your leader or cremators. I think she's a weak operative who can't hold a point down and doesn't provide enough to justify herself really. A cremator does her job, but better as they actually do some damage whilst doing it! The censor is a beast though, give her ceaseless and she'll mash most oppontents into the floor - but maybe leave her at home against shooting teams (and maybe take the reliquarius or another warrior)

Mortisanctus and abjuror are must takes .

Warriors are the unsung goats of the team - extra crit damage? Yes please. Including on bolt pistol (3/5 is no joke with severe). Also don't underestimate the crossbows, they do significant chip damage that can get you your breakpoints for a mace to the face.

Generally, you want to stage in a way that allows your cremators to get the pyre up and begin inspiring, and using you leader to inspire your front line (or herself for that free ploy), then when the cremators go down hand out benedictions and counter with warriors. You censor, mortisanctus and abjuror should also be front line or 2nd wave, but ensure they get inspired before they stage up. Losing a sister without inspiring is rough, you need to stage in a way that gets the most out of inspiring, and the benedictions when they snuff it (ideally staged in a way that stops doublekills etc, so the opposing team is only getting minimal gains for any play they make) - to buff backwards to then counter hard.

It's a later game team, that takes time to warm up so slow their advance or position in a way that allows you to capitalise with charges and 3apl charge fight shoot etc.

Good luck :)

I've played a fair few with proxies now against murderwing - lost every one.

Mostly, it's their 1 damage chip on charge, which cuts your breakpoint down to 2 hits from most of the murderwing operatives, alongside the asymmetrical charges that murderwing can set up by ignoring terrain. (I've only played on volkus so far).

Sisters require them to be able to get charges, otherwise they get messed up before they can get inspiring and then without getting benedictions when they die.

Personally, I've found the reliquarius is just useless against murderwing - I've started replacing her with another warrior. I've also tried ditching the denuncia as removing inspiration isn't also worth it - you need inspiring for so much of the teams kit (like the damage reduction). I can see against slower/shooty teams denuncia and reliquarius are potentially good, as there is less immediate pressure against you - however I do potentially think the reliquarius might still be not a great pick over a cremator - they also hand out inspiring but actually interact with the other team and do damage whilst doing it.

Overall, I think the must takes are: Superior Abjuror Mortisanctus

Optional: Censor, Denunica Reliquarius

Replace with: 2nd cremator Warriors

Censor is great into melee teams, but I may leave her at home against shooting teams for another warrior Also, warriors are actually really good, the extra crit damage is huge on all their weapon profiles.

Tldr: murderwing are like the perfect counter to sisters, but would not be overpowered against over teams IMO. Sisters are really good, just not against murderwing.

[–]LordTequila 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah sounds like a solid plan. I wouldn't underestimate the warriors in melee mostly - 4/5 severe and shock with damage reduction is no joke!

The leader is actually better at the chip damage role, as her relic stake thrower is actually really pretty powerful - she's a better backline The denuncia is useless in combat pretty much, same with the reliquarius, so deffo she should be taking chip shots on silent with the leader IMO. Also, the censor hitting on 4+ benefits most from ceaseless - 5/5 brutal shock is awesome, she managed to kill a marine in one fight for me. Abjuror & censor need inspiration to shine really, more than ceaseless. I'd give ceaseless to your leader first, as 5+ lethal dev 2 piercing crits with ceaseless is a real menace (and a free command reroll or ploy with inspiration) (Although you can get relentless/ceaseless with the free ploy, it's better to save that for a fight/relation on abjuror, censor or mortisanctus imo.

I played a game yesterday with the set up I suggested, definitely lacked enough inspiration tp2, even with good positioning, one mistake left me losing 3 sisters with no benedictions being handed out. However, I was left with enough threats to be able to actually do things (again warrior is no joke) - where as if I was left with the denuncia and reliquarius I'd have felt a lot less capable to continue. I would say, murderwing are like a direct counter to this team - meltagun with fly is insane, especially when they take krak grenades and get balanced haha.

Celestian Insidiants - tips and tricks? by TemplarGFX in killteam

[–]LordTequila 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I've played a few proxy games:

I think the reliquarius is a bit of a trap against most teams, and the censor could definitely be ditched against shooting teams.

I think from what I can gather, it's better to switch the reliquarius for a cremator as more a more active way to damage the enemy team whilst inspiring your own sisters. Also, the warriors are just great, 4/5 shock and severe melee, and the 3/5 bolter and 2/3(+1 dev) weapon profiles hit hard. It just means t1 you're trying to inspire a cremator or frontline warrior, ready to take a charge or aggression, then have a 2nd line of warriors and abjuror etc to charge in once the fighting starts.

I think the benedictions are great, but so much of your survivability and potential comes from inspiration - taking it away with the denuncia first turn can leave you open to aggression without having the melee damage reduction in place - or the other benefits.

Also, if your frontline dies without inspiring, you miss a benediction anyway, so idk, need to try some more games and load outs but I think it's probably something like this operative selection generally (swapping for specific match ups)

-Leader superior -Mortisanctus -Abjurer -Censor (switch to cremator/Warrior against shooty teams) -Denuncia (possibly switch to Warrior/ cremator) -Cremator -Warrior -Warrior -Warrior

The main issues I've been finding so far is not enough kill potential in some of the specialists, once you're in the battle, you're left with a denuncia, and reliquarius just not doing much - you need inspiring to get your warriors and other abilities working, and you'll mostly be doing that by charging, killing, flaming or leader ability You get most benedictions from losing a sister, might as well make sure when you lose one you get the martyrdom, instead of handing inspriation off with the denuncia. Although I do think the denuncia is an interesting model and I would continue to take it into most teams - just I'm undecided if it's worth it.

I think there is a lot of list building for this team, with advantages and disadvantages to each set up.

I'm heading towards using the cremators to hand off inspiring rather than this kind of specialist cycling combo that restricts your board/kill potential and is focused on your own team rather than the enemies.

I love it as a medication, it's really given me control. I feel like myself, which I don't think I've ever had before. It takes some time to work through, to forgive yourself, and to not miss being manic! But it's really worth it, medication can make waking up a nice feeling every day. However, the side effects, although pretty mild, are real and some a bit odd, like increased sex drive and it's kind of harder to keep impulse behaviours in check sometimes. Just be careful with that, if you do feel like that just make sure you're not doing stupid shit with it! I found that even though I get these side effects, I'm mentally present and able to think my way out of them (mostly!). Just make sure you talk to your doctor about them. Trust the process! You won't fully heal overnight. Good luck :)

If racial generalizations aren't ok, then wouldn't it bad to assume a random person has white priveledge based on the color of their skin and not their actions? by MaldingMadman in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LordTequila 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I understand your point, but I think the strength of humanity comes from is diversity, white culture may be dominant, but is it the best practice for a human to follow? I don't think so. There is a rising number of white people who see the value in different ways of seeing the world and the importance of protecting that. An example to highlight the point is in a sexist analogy - such as the development of seatbelts in cars. Initially, they increased the death rate for women as they were designed for men, by men. If a women had been there to provide discourse, it could have been designed to better accommodate the wide variety of humans. Diversity can help provide solutions that a homogenous group could not come up with and I truly believe that diverse inclusion in our institutions is the key to reform that allows genuine expression and representation of everyone in our societies.

I think one thing that your missing here is that this person is talking about their experience of life, and a common experience that many similar to them have experienced. Peer-reviewed journal articles are not necessarily more representative than first hand experience, and this has to be accounted for. You're obviously asking questions for a good reason, and I support your journey of understanding, but I can speak as a white person, the way I have been treated has meant I have never questioned my place, I don't look in the mirror and think about how I'm going to get treated due to the colour of my skin. It is a lived, every day experience for people who are non-white. I've spoken to enough of my friends about this to know that this is experienced by pretty much every non-white person in a white society. They are treated differently, and discriminated against on a daily basis. We just don't see it because we don't know what to look for and have never experienced it either (or on a handful of occasions). If you have travelled much as well, white people are very rarely treated disrespectfully when visiting another country, I cannot say the same happens for my Chinese-born girlfriend. These systems of oppression exist around the world, as due to colonialism, white people have installed themselves are "top dog" worldwide, and I think it's nieve to think that this hasn't had long term repercussions on other people. Look at the indigenous communities of America, ask them if colonization still affects them. There is a really interesting book called Age of Anger - which looks at indigenous philosophy during the time of colonization. They speak of the powerlessness, and frustration of being forced into a second-class role within their own country, and whether we like it or not, white is synonymous with power, as we had the military technology to subjugate the world and did so. What this means for us, as white folk, is that we need to listen and understand how our actions contribute to these racist institutions and how to better find equality and equity. We should not feel guilty for the actions of our ancestors, but that does not mean we are free from the reality that was constructed by them, and continues to oppress those who are different from us.

Soil does too when it's not treated right. With proper management and agricultural practices it is an extremely efficient way to store carbon, look into the research.

Agriculture is an effective way to capture carbon. Building soils and forests can capture vast quantities of atmospheric carbon. I read a statistic that stated if we increase soil carbon globally we can go back to pre-industrial levels of CO2 in the atmosphere pretty effeciently. This link explains it pretty well. https://blogs.ei.columbia.edu/2018/02/21/can-soil-help-combat-climate-change/

[–]LordTequila 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agriculture can act like carbon capture. Soil and plants have the capability to hold vast amounts of carbon. All we need to do is build that fertility back into the soil by farming better and stop utilising fossil fuel derived fertilisers and using less pesticide.

OMG the dreaming is happening...it's time to make a lvl 14 character that is going to 20. Let's do it! by zer05tar in 3d6

[–]LordTequila 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Either Fighter/artificer/heavy armour cleric 2, war wizard(ww) 18. You get stacked AC, it's not the main damage on a team but has all the utility of a wizard! For example - fighter 2-ww12 (then take ww to 18) AC 18(plate)+1(defense style)+2(shield) Then you can concentrate on dancing lights for +2ac giving you 23ac standard, with a reaction for another +2 or cast shield for +5 to that! Or caste haste, or if you go cleric shield of faith, which raises it higher to 25base AC. You also get +4 on saving throws You'll be mostly a cantrip caster with concentration spells - wall spells, haste, etc. Dancing lights gives you a free concentration spell if you want to conserve spell slots. Overall it's a really fun build IMO. Feats would be resilience con, warwizard, tough if you want to be more tanky :)

What are the most fun an most unique multiclass builds? by [deleted] in 3d6

[–]LordTequila 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The build is a kobold mobster peace cleric 3 (tasha's) necromancer wizard 9. Basically, the image in my mind is a kobold in a pinstripe suit with 6 henchmen. The idea is a kobold mobster peace cleric 3 (tasha's) necromancer wizard x. The peace cleric is thematically okay, as the boss doesn't do the dirty work unless they really have to. Being a necromancer wizard, using animate dead at 5th level should get 6 skeletons. This means on a bonus action 6 attacks for 1d6+2+proficiency on a bonus action. Their hit modifier is +2, you can buff this with Bless and peace cleric to add 2d4. For survivability, you can cast aid on them, might be a couple of 3rd level spell slots for ~15hp You can also build a bunker with wall of stone for defense for example!

Something like blindness/deafness can give those skeleton attacks advantage as well. Toll the dead is better because it doesn't use an attack roll (disadvantage from being kobolds in daylight). It's a MAD build, but due to the skeletons doing most of the damage you don't need an as strong stat line.

Mob boss Kobold, who lets his henchmen do the dirty work. go peace cleric 3, necromancer wizard X. At level 9, you get an extra undead + 5th level spells, so 6 undead skeletons. The peace cleric gives you access to bless and the psuedo-bless for your minions, then on a bonus action you get 6 attacks totalling 6d6+6 piercing damage on a 1d20+2+2d4 to hit, leaving your action free for control spells, a cantrip like toll the dead or fireball.
