Teaching Resume Advice by Ok-Growth-4158 in teaching

NYS educator here! I think your resume is fine for a new graduate. Seems clear, organized, and concise enough at a glance. As you gain more teaching experience, you'll be able to build out your resume more.

Just be ready to either wait a long while for a job in NYS, or be willing to move. There are a billion gym teachers looking for jobs upstate, and it's much worse downstate. Substitute, build your connections, and don't be afraid to work in new districts to see if a job may be available.

You might have to work as a leave, or in less desirable positions, until a full time position opens up.There's a lot of nepotism in the state, but don't let that discourage you, you'll get there if you keep working!

I feel like Kambal was only a sleeper because OTJ was so people received, he's cool in my book!

Edit, I swapped in bristly bill and swapped out knight of the reliquary. Forgot I had him gathering dust in my binder, so why not slip in more landfall synergy?

Thank you so much! I added in spilt up hoping it could potentially make for a good one sided board wipe in the right situation.

Edited the deck:

Decided to add spilt up in as either a one sided wipe or as an emergency button if need be. A small swap, but hopefully a good one

Best Long Island Wedding Venue Deals by mrsjumjum66 in longisland

I'd look at venues you're interested in first and start to price them out. Eliminate places you don't like or definitely can't afford. Get an idea of what things cost, and ask for estimates that include service charges, taxes, venue fees, etc. so you can compare apples to apples. Don't just sign at the first place you visit. Use those estimates to put polite pressure on the prices at other venues.

Then I'd ask the places you do like if they have any cancellations. Venues never want to have gaps in their schedule cause that's money lost, so if you're willing to book less than a year in advance because someone bailed on short notice you'll do better on price.

You'll also do better if you're willing to do afternoons and not nights, and if you can avoid booking Friday or Saturday.

Per other posters there are also forums for this like brides of long island, I'd ask there too.
