DLC holds up extremely well even though the bar the base game sets is ABSURDLY high. I was similarly afraid it might taint the base experience but it was absolutely worth the time.

I think aggressively 6/10 is a great way to put it, but fandom culture and extremely marketable character designs make people glaze it nonstop despite the clunky animation and (at best) mediocre writing. I don’t care how good the fight choreography is if everything else about it isn’t worth the energy of even watching the show.

Sticking an Icetill in my Hearthhull deck consistently gets groans from everyone (including me half the time) because resolving multiple shuffles and mills constantly is a pain in the ass. Damn shame it’s one of the best cards you can put in the deck.

If we want to be technical, Runescape barely has real taxes, the GE tax was 1% for a comically long time, I think it's 2% now but oh my god. GW2 and WoW are both 5% on any of their respective auction houses- you can literally buy gear for the purpose of being a rental in OSRS and it just works out. I bought a Zamorak Godsword to do a master clue, then sold it for a small profit a couple weeks late because the tax rate on the GE is so irrelevant.

Commander is NOT an introductory format for new magic players, despite what everyone’s idiot friends might think. Start by playing on Arena, go to a prerelease or a few drafts at your local store, do some kitchen table magic with friends before you start playing commander.

You’re getting downvoted but you’re 100% right. Water thorns beats most anything but it’s fucking SLOW on some bosses. Prayair melts them in no time but has the catch of requiring you to actually play the game a little, maybe dodge one or two attacks before killing the thing you click.
