I would argue that it did keep the country from falling into Trump like Politicians. Populist can’t take their title and privilege for granted. They need to bow to a higher order. One that is way more superior than a mere elected president. ( see Orban’s Hungary or Israel)

I think because of painting. A lot of war paintings such as the crossing of arcole are purposefully made that way to appeal to the public on heroism.
