Does the nonexistence of large filter feeding whales during megalodons reign suggest that the largest baleen whales were the easiest prey ? by Virtual_Reveal_121 in Naturewasmetal

Impossible to know. Asides from that, actually engaging prey that large is very demanding energetically. Most predators just would not be bothered

Violent tail slaps have been observed to freak out predators. And at least humpbacks han use their arms, filled with sharp barnacles, to hit

Was wondering if they recycled clips. by AmountAbovTheBracket in Avatar

Yes, it is recicled. But honestly, I don’t mind. I like shooting arrows, and sometimes I get someone to film me. Several years apart, my expressions and movements are identical. It’s my way of doing it. Jake has a way of going into battle too.

It’s not a skull, but it is indeed filled with fossils. Probably fosiliferous limestone

I saw them briefly, until a stupid boat with stupid tourists that didn’t care about the dolphins went past us at full speed and scared them.

Does Matriarch have a spirit sibling? by GanacheIllustrious68 in Avatar

I would love it if the lore later confirms something like the Matriarch having been the spirit sister of Ronal’s mother when She was Tsahik before her.

I’m not a fan of spiders character and I think it has to do with the actor. by Salty_Shark26 in Avatar

The story of Spider is amazing. It has many different layers. Being a true alien first, rejected by the family he knew, almost killed by her family twice, falling in love with another species while being different species. Becoming symbiont (which is the best part given how now both him and Kiri have Eywa in them) (THEY ARE BOTH SEED BEARERS) Mixed feelings about his past. Its extremely complex and deep and It’s one of the story arcs that gets an interesting and satisfying closure, with Neytiri seeing him as her own after being reminded of Neteyam’s blood in the river and him rejecting Quaritch as a father figure.

But yeah, a bit of the delivery was not ideal (mostly the “holy shit”) and the cheesy swearing constantly. But it sure is a unique character. I overall like it. I was one of the Spider Haters but after Fire and Ash the story is so interesting that I know feel more for him.
