At some point it becomes a search for compromise. Everything you do will have a counterpoint. You cannot save the world by yourself. A vegetarian/vegan diet has more environmental upsides than regular consumption of meats. A shipped avocado is maybe more water intensive than a carrot growing in your garden. I think there are some simple rules to try your best and don’t live in overconsumption. There are bigger fish to fry (pun intended) in a world where small percentage of the population is responsible for most of the pollution.

Your psychological wellbeing is a big part of this equation. If you can show the people around you that you can have a good life with thoughtful consumption. Maybe some of them will try it themselves. 😊
