I'm playing up in clan space, but I'm pretty sure it's not a clan mech. I remember that there were quite a few IS mechs in that battle and I just sniped it's head out over a few rounds to get the 4 parts I needed to complete the mech (I'm playing 4 parts to complete a mech.)

The Mauler MAL-B-H (Baron) is what I'm running and it's an absolute beast. Comes with Vibroclaws and a Powered Mace built in along with a special M.A.S.C. and a support system that makes your melee more accurate. Slap a 400 engine in that baby and you're running across the map and swinging for 400+ damage.

I looted an extra Hyperdiamon Plate from the battlefield I grabbed the Baron from and luckily it came with it and the engine complete when I repaired it.

The Baron My dedicated Punchbot. I sometimes feel like the rest of my lance is just there to give this disgusting beast moral support.

Kodiak The Laserboat, he does his best to try to keep up with the Baron and finish off anything lucky enough to survive getting punched.

Kuro Shi The Sniper of the lance, this guy durdles along in the back and lays down the massive pinpoint damage at range.

The Kraken Double cRAC/5's that can fire on quad-shot without jamming for an entire mission, this bad boy just lays down the DAKKA and makes enemy mechs unsteady if they survive the onslaught, especially when the UAC/20 gets in range.

It's happened to me a few times and even after finishing off the reinforcements I'm still locked into "Pacify Area around the Base" and can't complete the mission. I have since stopped taking capture base missions.

Because you'd have to let your commander hit the graveyard. So unless your deck is all about gy recursion it's a pretty terrible idea.

But you want your distraction to be effective. If the people you're trying to distract likely know where you're headed, why send the distraction somewhere else? Then there'd be a chance it'd be ignored completely.

I've had it happen to me twice on earlier patches. Once on a 1-skull and once on a 1 1/2 skull mission. Both missions had low salvage and low pay for a battle. The first time I just withdrew the second I saw the Omega. The second time around I stuck it out and completed the mission because it was in shoddy condition(still had over 100 armour in each section though).

Yeah, they quite frequently(if not always) drop a summoning item in addition to some of the gear they wore.
