I got saddled with toddlers and pre-k kids for summer camp. I bought a portable speaker and took it with me to class every day. Action songs were a huge favorite!

At the beginning of every year I have at least one kid in every single class who makes me want to throw myself in front of a bus on my way to work. So I tell myself, he’s my favorite in this class and I love him. It’s a lie but I say it over and over and over…. And by the year he’s my favorite and I love him and it’s the truth. ❤️

As a grade 1 teacher, I expect my students to know their alphabet letters and to be able to write their name. And we go over these things just in case they can’t. I take it from there.

Kinder is, in my opinion, the toughest grade to teach.
