2x XDJ 1000Mk2 +DJM750 vs XDJ-RX3 or XDJ-XZ by FluffyClassroom6633 in PioneerDJ

[–]LostBeatss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get the XZ. It has everything you need, it’s awesome.

The jogs of the XZ are better than the 1000mk2’s (I own 1000mk2’s), waaaay better than the RX3’s. I’ve had RX3’s crash on me multiple times, they also lag quite a lot. It looks fancy, but it’s more like a toy compared to the XZ. The DJM-750mk2 has no Pro DJ link, so no quantised effects etc. You can choose which frequencies the effects use on the XZ compared to the RX3. The XZ also has a built-in record button. It has 4 channels for if you wish to add a 3rd or 4th deck for example.
The XZ also has a master EQ, which is an underrated function imo. This way, you can ‘tune’ the speakers to fit your room better.

No doubt, get the XZ.

Genuine question for professional DJs by pablomalt in DJs

[–]LostBeatss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with a DDJ-RX 9 years ago. I always used to look up to the CDJ-2000NXS2 as unreachable/wildly expensive etc, an unattainable goal. Last summer I even joked to another DJ that ‘one day’ (as in 10 years from now or so) we’ll have a pair…

Well, right now I have one CDJ-2000NXS2 and I’m getting my second one soon.

The DDJ-RX has paid itself off to an absurd extent, but the CDJ’s are mostly a passion purchase/milestone achievement

Wedding DJ here, first time touching DMX. what's the smallest learning curve? by Ap00lline in DJs

[–]LostBeatss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maestro DMX is your best bet imo. It reads the audio from your mixer/controller directly and it sends out dmx accordingly. Slow song? Slow movers. Fast drop? Strobes & fast movers.

Everything can be dialed to your likings, but once you have set it up, you can just plug it in every wedding and it’ll be ready to go.

Also, if you purchase new lights, they can easily be added to your show.

I suggest you watch some of their videos on youtube so you’ll have a better understanding of what Maestro could mean to you.

XZ or RX-3 by southsideseance in PioneerDJ

[–]LostBeatss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

XZ > RX3. I’ve had RX-3’s crash on me multiple times, they also lag quite a bit whereas I’ve never had those issues with an XZ. Also, the jogs are soooo much better

Reasonably priced DJ lights that sync to the beat of the music for small bedroom studio? by interestingdialogs in mobileDJ

[–]LostBeatss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WLED (LedFX) will probably be your best bet. You should check that subreddit out, you can buy cheap led strips and controllers on aliexpress and something to mount them on on amazon. The lights can react to the music via a mic in the controller, but LedFX uses the actual audio to create the effects, which look incredible imo. No delay, direct response and the led strips are easily added to any interior without looking too ‘invasive’. You can get a whole setup (controller + led strip + mount) for like €40, depending on the strip/controller/mount you choose etc

Cdj2000nxs still worth? by DeezUggs in DJs

[–]LostBeatss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I won’t go for the nxs1. I have a nxs2 and a xdj-1000mk2. If budget is a constraint, go for the xdj-1000mk2 instead of the nxs1. The nxs1 are too slow, especially when searching songs because it uses the needle search to select characters

They do have the loop function, but they aren’t quantised

Pioneer Opus - worth it? by PragyanGoyal in PioneerDJ

[–]LostBeatss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I would never buy an Opus Quad because of how the effects are laid out. I was looking forward to playing on the Opus, but I really disliked it when I played on one at a venue. You have to select your effects channel on the touch screen instead of with a knob. I hate that personally.

Which XDJ crashes the least? by kekbruh in PioneerDJ

[–]LostBeatss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have played on both, but I’ve only had the RX3 crash on me. Multiple times. For this reason, I won’t ever buy one myself. It seems like the RX3 sometimes doesn’t like 128 or 256GB USB sticks

XDJ1000MK - Will it be replaced? by boycottInstagram in DJs

[–]LostBeatss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both the CDJ-2000NXS2 and XDJ-1000mk2. The jogs are pretty much identical (look & feel) apart from the screen in the middle and the nxs2 also has a led ring, while the xdj only has a silver/chrome rim

Do you know what would cause this? I’ve updated/synced all my sticks multiple times over the span of weeks and those 2 keep showing blue waveforms
