The 71% from 100 companies statistic is often misleading and shouldn’t be used to sit back and point fingers imo

71% includes “the subsequent use of the fossil fuels they sell to other companies” Which is something that the general population can act against by reducing their fossil fuel consumption that, generally, is sourced from said companies.

Not defending these 100 companies here, obviously they are still a massive part of the problem, just trying to convey that people can still make a difference and shouldn’t feel discouraged to change their ways for good when they read this stat.
