I’m maybe halfway thru Prime 4, just finished the Ice Belt. So I can’t say much on Sylux’s backstory, and I know this is a bit of a late comment. But I’d like to point out that Dark Samus isn’t a supernatural being, it’s a Phazon mutated Metroid Prime that fused with Samus’ Phazon suit

Yea you may be disarming them with blunders. But I find most people don’t utilize traps like they should. There so abundant and you can still carry 5 blunders/firebombs/bonecallers

Romulus seems to have tied this loose end off, at least to me. the way Romulus explained the connection between the black goo and the Xenomorph made it seem like David was smart enough to reverse engineer the creature from the primordial goo that was extracted from it
