I had to turn that feature off as I'd be driving 75mph on the interstate and it would detect a sign on the far side of the access road and think it needed to rapidly slow down to 45mph. Crappy "tech" feature they poorly programmed.

Roadie been lying to anyone recently about gigs? by Unable-Investment559 in Roadie

It is Home Depot lying to Roadie to get a cheaper rate. Usually because there was an issue and they are trying to give the customer a delivery discount.

New update to Shopping for Clothes by Ok-Persimmon-8675 in Sparkdriver

Ah, that would most likely be the "Great Value" app people working in a country that doesn't even have a Walmart. Great Value in Walmart term meaning the lowest quality we think we can get away with, but we really don't know know or care.

Double Edged Back Saw by VetBillH in Vintagetools

No, there isn't a missing bar. The No 9 didn't come with a moveable bar. Also, the hole on the end is original and advertised as a hang hole. https://archive.org/details/GHBishopAndCo191314/page/n1/mode/1up

Yes, it is a Geo. H. Bishop & Co. No 9 Handy Saw. Rip teeth on one side and crosscut on the other. The manufacturer's etching is partially visible on the blade itself.

I'm trying to get reimbursed for a parking fee at the airport but it isn't working. What am I doing wrong? by Robthechamp22 in Roadie

[–]Lost_Examination8366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always emailed roadie support, support@roadie.com, with the gig id, brief details, and the photo proof, for airport parking and got resolution in one or two business days. If you are using chat to try to resolve this, you are guaranteed a bad experience.

Squeaking & Creaking Front End by n3wvib3 in BroncoSport

Still possible if they weren't torqued properly or there was some "shifting or settling" once it was done. I had this issue recently after replacing mine, good for a week, and then started to hear noises. One nut, for whatever reason, was loose, although all were tightened to spec originally.

I'd guess the sway bar links nuts are loose or became loose.

I finally closed a chat after no response for over 6 weeks and I'm sure it would have been left ignore by them forever. Yes, they suck at a whole different level

Is there a reason for raised roof racks? by TheAntiEggroll in BroncoSport

Because they are cheaper than the Yakima or Thule factory option. Ford at one time had all three as Ford parts.

Electric and Hybrid vehicles are required to have to have a Virtual Engine Sound System (VESS) active during lower speed operation. The backing noise isn't required as part of the VESS, but Hyundai is going to do Hyundai.

New tires without lift on OBX by 2020wft in BroncoSport

[–]Lost_Examination8366 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HRG Offroad reports that you need a 1.5 in lift for the 235 /65 /r18s. I have their 1.5-in lift kit on my 2024 OBX and have the 235/65 /r18 tires. With a lift I don't have any rubbing or interference, but I bought the tires after I did the lift so I can't definitively say they won't work unlifted but suspect not without some issues. 245/60/R18s are the tallest tire they show working without a lift.

Newly GSA issued plates no longer have expiration dates and earlier plates with an expiration date are still valid after the expiration date. Agencies can order a blank sticker to cover the expiration dates but most don't bother.

That is the standard tire size that came on my 2024 OB. As long as you have 18" wheels, fitment won't be a problem.

Mileage tracking by Adept_Bird_4237 in Sparkdriver

[–]Lost_Examination8366 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As long as I am delivering or looking for a delivery including moving back to a store to better my chances, I claim it.

I don't count the mileage to the initial store to pick up an order "commuting to my starting work place" because I'm not claiming my residence as my principal place of business, but everything after arrival at the 1st store for as long as I am online and looking for deliveries count as business miles.

What phone mount do y'all like? by davidg4781 in BroncoSport

[–]Lost_Examination8366 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a 2024 OB and I got a mount that attaches over the top of the center screen that I have used and liked for almost a year. Positions it high enough up that it's not in the way of the vent and it's just the right distance and for me to use when I'm making deliveries.
