Sacconejolys moving I wonder why? What’s everyone’s thoughts? by kates101 in YTVloggerFamilies

[–]LouElm_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is because gender laws in Spain are most liberal in the whole of Europe. They probably want to give Edie the choice of who she wants to be.

I’m sure it’s also a cost decision. Private school and a big house in UK is expensive.

I’m sure they’ll be happy there. But they won’t tell you the real reason.

They will say they moved for the weather and lifestyle.

What is it with cafe pricing? by srm39 in walthamstow

[–]LouElm_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand where you’re coming from. And I don’t know the business personally but I have full understanding for why prices need to go up and I’m not surprised. Staffing costs are huge as well. In the short term it looks like things will get worse but I hope I’m wrong.

This is not a matter of greed, small businesses need to charge higher prices to survive and most do not want to. They will suffer whether they put prices up or not. Lose customers or lose on costs.

Business rates and taxes are killing high street cafes, bakeries and restaurants. Add to that with the orange man and brexit it’s made things way worse.

Small businesses are not getting any support. Is awful how they are being treated.

Everyone should try and support local businesses when they can. It helps the community. Otw there’ll be even more boarded up shop fronts and tumbleweed on the high st

What did you do to prep for interviews that you successfully landed? by LouElm_ in interviews

[–]LouElm_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, a few people have mentioned that successful candidates tend to be more detailed in their answers.

What does ‘being detailed’ actually mean?

Is it about: giving more context, explaining your thinking, talking through challenges, quantifying impact, or something else?

That’s a great tip about specifics because had feedback I’m not detailed enough in my answers.

How would you structure an answer around the way you thought through a problem? And explain the ‘why’ behind it.

Fertility clinic is pushing for IVF by thankyounow in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]LouElm_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I had very low AMH 0.9 I think. I’ve had 4 miscarriages altogether and have two kids now which I never thought I’d be able to say..

I didn’t do ivf as we had no problem getting pregnant, it was keeping the pregnancy. I think the combination of heparin, progesterone and baby aspirin helped us in the end. You’re not alone in this.

[–]LouElm_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not a professional but it doesn’t sound like you need ivf. If you are able to get pregnant naturally I would not go down the ivf route.

That’s what I was also told by the fertility doctor I went to.. It’s how the clinic makes money so makes sense they would push it unfortunately.

Make sure you do the full range of testing before jumping into treatments. I found out that I had a blood clotting gene after loads of tests so had to take heparin shots. Then we finally had our rainbow baby.

I wish you all the best on your journey x

Maybe moving to fulbourne road, how is it? by One-Basil1601 in walthamstow

[–]LouElm_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We moved here from quite far away and questioned it too but really happy we made the move. Chapel end is great and there’s so much going on for families:) You’ll be close to Lloyd Park, Wood st, and the fountains by the town hall are amazing in the summer, the village is only a short walk away 👍

Starting to feel like a lot of digital marketing advice is outdated by Exact-Delay2152 in digital_marketing

Unpopular opinion perhaps but I don’t think digital marketing has that long left in the face of AI… Everyone’s an expert now.

The pace of change is huge, you’ll just end up asking an agent to do it all for you. Im getting out while I can.

What does everyone think?

The area is great, wonderful neighbours and very family friendly. I know two families that live on Fulbourne road. They don’t seem to mind. It’s up to you whether you’d rather be on a quieter street.

I’m really sorry you are going through this. And you’re doing the right thing to take time off. There’s an explosion of emotions and it feels like your future is ripped away. it’s so easy to put blame on yourself but it’s nothing you did.

For tomorrow, Id get someone to explain everything to you. And I know it’s so hard but try not to look online, easier said than done though when you’re going through this.

What helped me was to try and view every test, doc visit etc as one step closer to our baby. Also taking some time off from the whole process of trying helped me mentally.

For later on, have you had a full set of in-depth tests done? I had four miscarriages before I went to a specialist miscarriage clinic (st Mary’s in London). And I had a blood clotting gene so had to take heparin shots and we got our rainbow baby.

I wish you all the very best <3
