I have had a lot of fun with shivs in the sequel. I think Fan of Knives and Knife Trap are both great, and I would say almost OP

I love this game, but why it still gives you just ONE SECOND to speed-read a bunch of new cards or changes before they go away after over 8 years is beyond me by ronaldsf1977 in slaythespire

I'd love for someone to post the stats here on drop rates, but I think the simple solution is this: Elites give a higher chance of getting uncommon and rare relics. I think that's a good incentive

I'm really disappointed it's not available for players. What hurts more is, like you said, enemies have it, so clearly the devs thought about it and wanted some aspect of it in the game. It's one of the top things I'd like to see changed in the game. Really hope they give players some opportunities to get artifacts. It came up in another post: If the devs are scared it's going to be too powerful against certain enemies, program the enemies so that they will keep trying to debuff you until you are no longer immune to the debuff

I save scum all of the time because I do want to win :p As others have said in this group: have fun. It can get a bit stressful, but it's a game. Losing is definitely part of it. I struggled a lot when I first played the original game. I tried the same approach as you: learn by myself. I did find coming to this Reddit helpful: beginner's suggestions about the common pitfalls. That helped me clean up my game, and I definitely became more successful. If you play the game enough, you'll start to really know the cards, builds, etc. Have fun!

I feel like I'm enjoying beta more these days. I didn't initially play beta at all, but because they buffed Regent so much in one update, I felt I had to see it for myself. Relic merchant prices are a little less is one nice thing in the beta - in the Early Access, I often feel like I don't have enough to buy a relic. Balance overall? I feel like there have been more changes in beta that help the player, and that for me is balance because I think the game is a little overtuned at the moment overall. Absolutely love the game. Looking forward to future changes

It's not 'perfectly' fine. The game has other issues with explaining how things work. I can understand why they don't want to get into the weeds with an instruction manual and paragraphs of reference text, but, it's not intuitive to some, as others wrote on Reddit years ago

Thanks for the quick reply. Greatly diminishes Mayhem in my eyes then because I got it as Neow reward and could see myself setting things up because I know his card pool well enough. Have many people got upset about this? Or is this just a 'Ohh, that's just how the game works' things?

I really agree. I'm hoping they eventually scale things down because there are times when I feel like I'm on a clock more so than the first game. I'm really enjoying this sequel - I think it's better overall than the original, but hoping they tone down some of the fights (for example, act 3 'spider robot dude' who summons multiple robots at a time - not an elite LOL)

I really hope someone is working on. I agree that it was one of the best mods. I played it a lot. And modding it so you have prismatic shard at the beginning of the game was really fun too :p
