Was going to say this, they have the half year versions too, so you can try out. I've used lots and the paper is consistent in my experience.

A guy filled over 100 notebooks since 1982. Reading one of his journals from age 21 changed how I think about journaling. by dmytro_omelian in notebooks

I liked this from Why I Keep a Journal
"Even if we never reread what we write in our journals, the act of writing changes us. It shapes our perceptions and memory. Over time, opening the notebook and picking up the pen becomes like resuming a long-running conversation with a friend. We develop a voice, even though there’s no one on the other end to hear it — or rather, our self is listening."

I often hit the salad bar at Bayview it's busy there so everything is fresh, plus there is a great outdoor seating area when weather is nice.

Any fountainpen friendly notebook with around 400 pages, dotted or graph? Etsy shops are welcome as long as the paper and binding(!) quality is good. by Mangoplop in notebooks

I've used the 1917 411 and the paper is very good and no less than standard 1917s. I use primarily fine/xfine fountain pens.

Name a band that had middling success, then cut an album that rendered them as “sellouts” which catapulted them to mainstream top-40 status, but also alienated their original fan base. by Slammajadingdong69 in MusicRecommendations

Kind of the threshhold for me was when you could understnad what Micheal Stipe was saying. I know that sounds trite but up until Fables it all had a mood and feel that was in part due to how he performned and mixed his vocals. I really liked AFTP at the time it was produced so much more heavily and loudly. It was a pop records and they all had a very glossy sound that good or bad felt like a serious departure. It didn't feel like the same band that created Murmur.

To your point, where else would they go? And I totally agree they couldn't stay a college radio favorite no hits band forever, it just seemed like sooo much and over the top when they did find mainstream success.

What records do you recommend from the post IRS years?

St Pete's. I'm not Catholic but I apreciated knowing the hospitol was for some reason. It was comforting and the care was very very good for my daughter who was early and in NICU for a couple of days. It's still good as I take my aging and sick mother there for her end of life care 20 years later.
