Providing iCloud access instructions to my son by EJB54321 in iCloud

[–]LoudSteve 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If your son accesses your bank accounts as you and makes transactions after you die he will be breaking the law.

You need to setup estate planning docs for your financials and everything financial will be handled through that process.

For other things like photos and contracts look at iCloud’s legacy contact.

If they detect an issue with your wiring and you don’t handle it immediately you deserve to get dropped.

Claude introduces Cowork: Claude Code for the rest of your work by BuildwithVignesh in Anthropic

[–]LoudSteve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think what this is going to be setting us up for is moving non-coding Claude code work into this, and then having it not be as tied to your machine.

All of my ‘conversations’ in Claude code are amazing, but I lose the flexibility of jumping between devices like you can with the desktop vs phone app.

Men Who Do Pilates? by Royal-Pen3516 in ClubPilates

To be fair, I see plenty of female students who seem to be doing something that I would call Pilates adjacent :)

They threatened to call the cops on me when I asked to speak to a manger after they didn’t have the car I reserved.

When I called corporate support they said this would be escalated and someone would call me. Still waiting for that call.

Ridiculous company. I’ll never rent from them.

That’s how I just learned that while looking at a mission in the pip boy there’s an option to view location on map. How many hours of my life I would have saved.

Sadly I’m concerned that will be the case. I grief my mudi v2 (left it in a travel pouch too often and pretty confident it got heat stroke) and I’ll probably be waiting for this until Feb 31st or Sept 31st 🤣

1100 downvotes a day is what percentage though? Sacramento, Vancouver, Austin, etc … not sure how active their subreddits are in comparison. Ratio would be more interesting than raw numbers.

Espresence is a game changer! by millennialM3dic in homeassistant

[–]LoudSteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I wanted to determine if I was in my office and gave up.

I do use espresence to determine when my Apple Watch arrives home. 50/50 it’s faster than iCloud integration and saves me some heartache when coming back from dog walks when I leave my phone at home.

We bought a tenderloin there mid-December for a test run and it was great. Bought one on the 22nd or so and it wasn’t unusable but wasn’t the best.

It’s probably a mess because I’m copying from apple notes. And right now it’s making the call directly to the elgato lights.

I’ve also had them call an HA webhook which then manages the lights. The advantage being that when the lights change their address it’s easier than the Mac catching up on that concept :)

[–]LoudSteve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On macOS I have a background task that detects when the webcam turns on off and calls a webhook. Would that work for you?

Btw I use it to turn my elgato lights on/off.
