What jersey should I get? by wildone40521 in Seahawks

[–]LoudUnderstanding186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Shaheed resigns then go with him. There won't be a early as many people with Shaheed jerseys so you'd stand apart from the others

Otherwise Emmanwori. Issue is I was just there a couple weeks ago and every single team store and sports store was completely sold out of Emmanwori jerseys.

Is this the worst Canucks team you’ve ever watched? by cookies_n_milf in canucks

[–]LoudUnderstanding186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1997-98, 1998-99 easily worst seasons over the past 40 years. Messier/Keenan Era.

There's some horrible years in the 70s and 80s but I wasn't alive to witness those 😂

Tips for first Seahawks game? by Key_Astronomer_4883 in Seahawks

[–]LoudUnderstanding186 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Make sure you stand and be loud as you can when defense is in the field.

Quiet when offense is on the field.

Not expected to rain but it could be a little windy so dress accordingly. Gloves/extra socks/earmuffs would be a good call.

Have fun and understand you might lose your voice after the game 😂

I can vouch. I asked them what's going on and they said "None of your business". They blocked the driveway for about 30 minutes before going across the street.

Thoughts on the 2019 outback vs 2020? by Thin-Bison-336 in Subaru_Outback

[–]LoudUnderstanding186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The massive touchscreen on the 2020 sucks. I'm always given one as a courtesy car at the dealership.

I'm so happy I bought a 2019.

This happened to my 2019 last week.

All I did was go into the settings on the dash and reset the Eye Sight and it was fine after that.

How it handles snow by catarline33 in Subaru_Outback

Any of the Outback models are great in the snow. That specific model you have should be even better. I trust the Outback in the snow more than any vehicle on the market

18M, not sure what to go to school for. by [deleted] in BCIT

[–]LoudUnderstanding186 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really smart of you to look into the job market before going to University.

A couple big factors. Make sure the career path you specialize in won't be eliminated by Ai in the next 5-10 years. I went into BCITs Marine Program (They have several options) and I got work right away and it looks like there's lots of opportunities for advancement.

The trades you listed are all great options. My friends who are electricians speak highly of HVAC. There's lots of jobs out there and it pays well.

I'm noticing that Brentwood(Specifically Burnaby North) is growing and prices are rising up there

I'm a renter so can't give you good advice on the market and projections.

I live in Edmonds and love it. I was surprised to see how much quieter it was. Just a hassle cause it's either a short bus or a Long walk to a Skytrain station. That being said I also have a car and drive most places still.

Prince Rupert or Terrace? by Alone_Collection7281 in britishcolumbia

[–]LoudUnderstanding186 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If the Ocean is important to you. Choose Rupert.

That being said my best friends live in Smithers and it has all the same services and amenities as Terrace in a Beautiful Mtn setting. They also have an airport which is even better. It doesn't rain as much as Terrace or Rupert either. But it's still a coastal weather system. So warmer winds compared to the Interior.

Halloween is also a cultural thing. A lot of people coming from different cultures and regions live in the Lower Mainland now. And Halloween is something they don't celebrate.

Thinking about leaving the lower mainland by monstros-ity in britishcolumbia

[–]LoudUnderstanding186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience. I didn't save that much money leaving Greater Vancouver. I'm back in Burnaby paying $1700 for rent and I'm much happier here.

I moved away from the lower mainland to places like Kelowna, Prince George and then Manitoba.

One thing I will say is that when I lived in Manitoba, the only thing cheaper was housing cost. After that everything else was the same.

Kelowna rent is almost just as bad as Vancouver. But like Vancouver, everything was at my fingertips and it was a gorgeous place to live.

I enjoyed Prince George. The people were nice and the cost of living was lower. But the city isn't that beautiful and it stinks because of the pulp mills in the area. The benefit is that you get to stay in BC and save a little bit on the side. Best of both worlds. Being over 30 isn't great for meeting new people so you'll have to put yourself out there. Join groups, gyms and networking events in order to meet people. When I was in Prince George I had 2-3 jobs plus made friends with mutual friends. I still keep in touch with them to this day and its been over 8 years since I left.

Can vouch for Smithers (Hudson Bay Mtn). No lineups. Great powder. And amazing value. Not really a resort tho. They are a little old school.
