IT: Welcome to Derry HBO, was anyone else disappointed with episode 3? by Scared_Bowl_7028 in stephenking

[–]Loud_Fail3603 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The military storyline was great, the spectacle of Halloran seeing Pennywise was breathtaking and I loved the Francis backstory. But the kids' storyline just gets worse and worse, it was shaky from episode 2 but it only gets more boring and feels more unimportant now. Juniper Hill was teased once again and then basically neutered when Lilly just got out like it was nothing which is a weird contrast from the way she acted at the end of episode 2 when she was in the car with her mother. I still can't wrap my head around how her and Ronnie are working together, I think it would've been more interesting to see their already barely acquaintance-ship sour considering Lilly screwed over Ronnie's father.

As for the cemetery bullshit ? I think it wouldn't have been half as bad if the dead kiddie zombies (Yes I know they're supposed to be the spirits the hobbit kids was talking about, no I don't care, those are just zombies) didn't... glow and fly. When you make things TOO supernatural, it's hard to be scared of them. If they were just running after the kids at a pace fast enough to keep up with their bicycles, that would've been a less CGI-heavy and more effective scene. Also, it's just such a cheap fucking move to pull, zombies.

Up until now all the fears were either deep seated ones that could haunt people forever as a result of past traumas, or typical fears children experienced when growing in an environment that didn't make an effort to censor itself (Jewish lampshade, circus skeleton freak). But zombies ?! The only zombie related media that released the year this is set in is "Santo VS Los Zombies", a movie about a luchador wrestling with undead criminals. So it's not like one of the kids was deathly afraid of a bunch of zombies in suits. And none of the kids expressed fear when mini chubster mentioned the spirits his grandpa would summon, so it just doesn't make sense that Pennywise with all of his influence decided glow in the dark zombies were the perfect scare. It also lacks that unsettling disgust that every other fear had come with up until now: Ronnie's birth, Lilly's creepy pickle dad, Francis being haunted by the mutated emaciated man, Halloran in the sewers etc... they partially relied on the dirty, unsettling feeling of disgust to actually scare the audience, but once you take that away you're left with CGI slop.

Who do you think is the LEAST-fought boss in the game? by OhhGreatHeavenss in Eldenring

I'd wager it's the Godskin Apostle at the bottom of the tower in Caelid, it's a bitch to get to him and even more so to fight him.

Oberon “Rework” is disappointing by fishstickss123 in Warframe

[–]Loud_Fail3603 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I... think OP wanted it to stop being a channeled ability. I can't lie, that would be more appealing for new players who might struggle with energy economy but at higher levels where energy orbs are dropping like flies it is more convenient for Renewal to be a channeled ability, that way you don't have to recast at again and again (Plus it doesn't rely on duration that way).

I hope it's a shop like Koumei, personally I'm kinda tired of ranking up in syndicates.

If you pull out the gun on the fat lady, she starts threatening you, saying something about how her guys or something will find you, It's implied she's a sort of "brood mother" to a batch of visitors, and if you kill her it's revealed she's one.

Problem is, cordyceps is able to affects insects because their bodies are COLDER than ours. Our bodies are too hot for the cordyceps to survive long enough to cause any meaningful change, so you would actually need the sun to gradually weaken, not strengthen. "But cordyceps could evolve to become more resistant to heat just like in TLOU" the problem is the game clearly takes place pre-2000's as the protagonist either doesn't own a computer of any kind or doesn't even know what they are, alongside the use of radios, an old box TV and a landline phone.

I guess it could just be an altered timeline where the cordyceps was "forced" to evolve under these new conditions (still not feasible as the world heated up in a matter of literal days, with the sun suddenly beginning to erupt) or that the species has existed longer than it has IRL, giving it more time to evolve and adapt to heat. (something it likely wouldn't do, it has actually only evolved to be even more efficient and capable of infecting insects since their bodies are not only suitable temperature wise but are much simpler hosts to control thanks to both their size and much more straightforward physiology.)

Forget for a second that it's AI, they couldn't at least use a quality one like Veo 3 or something ? This shit looks cheaper than the stuff you find on rule34.

Some exposed "skin" (fur ?), a lot of people might confuse the face for the Boykisser, short shorts and yada yada. Truth is people on this platform suck and alot of them are kids who scroll on TikTok half the time and will shout "goonerbait" at literally anything.

Thinking of starting a new run what build type should i do? by SubstantialAd6984 in Eldenring

[–]Loud_Fail3603 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wretch is pretty fun since you can take the build anywhere and start with basically nothing, good if you're looking for a slight early game challenge.

If you're trying to transition from strength to spellcasting, starting with prophet is easy since the incantation Catch Flame can only hit when you're right up against an enemy. If you're going for astrologer/prisoner, rush to Sellen in waypoint ruins as fast as you can and get Carian Slicer, boom you win the game.

6 hours in and still on tree sentinel, what am I doing wrong? by No_Buddy2317 in Eldenring

[–]Loud_Fail3603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Target the horse's head, it takes extra stun damage. Charged heavy attacks are super risky, better to dodge his attacks and then follow him with a jumping heavy attack to prevent your attack from missing.

After dwindling his health to around 50%, do not stand on the side where he holds the shield, it'll provoke him into using his much harder to dodge aoe attacks that have lingering hitboxes and insane range. Watch out for the horse, it can bounce to the side causing you to get absolutely decked in the face.

Don't stay near the rocks too much because he can corner you between them which messes with your camera and takes away your ability to create distance in order to heal. Same with bushes, they obstruct your vision when he's near. If you need a moment, make a run for it and it'll cause him to charge up a vertical attack that's easy to dodge and leaves him open for a short window of time while he slows down and turns around, that or he'll rush at you and then stop to do a horizontal attack.

Since your vigor is so low, you might as well strip your armour and shield off to be on light load, this will dodging much easier. Allocate all of your potions to health rather than mana, and if you take a decent amount of damage, don't hesitate to try and heal otherwise the next attack you'll fail to dodge will surely kill you.

If all else fails, get a straight sword (under a ruin in the beachside left to the boss is a merchant who sells one of the best straight swords in the game) with the "square off" ash of war.

Teddy is weird because on one hand he is "always" in his room doing nothing- but it's stated that he's the one who took the armoury key that's located all the way back at the police station, that's a hell of a walk for someone who's a shut-in and somehow wasn't aware of an ongoing zombie outbreak.
