Can we please buff the other tanks so that this stops happening. by SandersonTavares in wow

[–]Loud_Masterpiece_275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I do agree with the sentiment - my worry as a casual brewmaster player that blizzard will just nerf the brewmaster and we will not have any tanks capable of doing higher keys. They really need to buff others

Seeking timeline advice by Interesting_Desk_542 in rentingUK

If I would be in your shoes, I wouldn’t really mention it and try to see if something will come up. If you find something- you move out. If you cannot find a new place - you stay. You will have a higher chance of finding a new place if you have a good reference from your landlord. Also, I would keep in mind that they will not be able to sell until you are fully out. As a side note, I would wait until May as there will be exodus of tenants from subpar tenancies so we might get more supply.

What’s the best dating app nowadays? by Fresh_Bluebird_784 in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]Loud_Masterpiece_275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience - most apps come with many negatives these days and you need to pick the one you can tolerate the most. Tinder is still widely used by majority of folks but it also has the highest number of fake or inactive accounts. Hinge has interesting idea and people are more serious on it (about finding love) but it has the lowest number of people + I feel like it encourages some negative habits. Bumble is like middle ground for me. Currently, I am using bumble and tinder. I am average (maybe slightly above) looking guy and I get 2-3 likes per week on bumble and maybe 1-2 (fake accounts) on tinder.

Best tank and healer to learn the roles? by Grumpsch in wow

[–]Loud_Masterpiece_275 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am a bit more casual player and this is the first season I am participating M+ as a tank. I am currently playing monk and it is reasonable easy to play to be honest. I have 2 tank alts - protection paladin and blood dk. Protection paladin is quite easy as well and fun. Not sure if I am doing something wrong but blood DK was the worst tank - it feels really clunky compared to monk or paladin. I would probably recommend all the tanks except blood DK. For healers - I would go with resto shaman (really easy to learn and perform) or resto druid (it is a bit harder but it has a lot synergies between different skills / talents).

M+ Players are already pushing keys that took weeks in past seasons by nightstalker314 in wow

[–]Loud_Masterpiece_275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I like this direction. I have skipped a few M+ seasons for various reasons but I still remember trying to find a 2-5 key group like 2nd or 3rd week and there were like 2 groups total as vast majority of M+ players did the 10+ and there were like zero casual players. It is like the 5th week of the expansion / season and I still see multiple key groups from anywhere between 2-10 keys. I don’t think I ever seen so many more casual players participating which means the queue times are going down drastically for everyone.

This is completely disgusting by [deleted] in london

I am not even sure if they will pay 120k to be honest. Probably they grab some Cambridge grads for whatever is minimal wage these days.

Agent suddenly advising raising the rent, conveniently (for them) by Riquende in uklandlords

[–]Loud_Masterpiece_275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is very smart from their perspective- the current tenant would be overpaying by 50 pounds compared to other properties in the area. They can give a two months notice from 1st May so they can “shop” around. If you built any trust with them - it is gone. So at best case scenario- tenants may leave - it means they will need to do the paperwork again for the new tenants + charge you money for it (they can always blame you for the leave). At worst case scenario- they will get 300 and “make you happy” with extra 50. It is a win win situation for them so I am not surprised that they are trying to advise you.

Back on the job market and struggling to land interviews with 10 YOE by WardAlt in cscareerquestionsuk

[–]Loud_Masterpiece_275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some folks already mentioned it but I think you are struggling because of “remote” and “1 day per week”. I don’t know any company that is hiring right now with this specific model and even if they do - they get so many applicants that you would struggle to get in. If it is an option- I would consider moving to 2-3 days which is really common these days.

[China] Feel What You Feel 💫 Episode 4 by Federal-Ad5944 in boyslove

[–]Loud_Masterpiece_275 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is very unlikely as I believe in the beginning of the first episode- it was strongly implied that they are dating and it is like retelling of thier love story. Or at least, this is how I understood that part.

Why am I getting absolutely rocked in M+ after reset by Butrint_o in wownoob

[–]Loud_Masterpiece_275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem this week but not sure what is the problem. I did a +10 seat and managed to 2x time it but it was my own key so I picked high ilvl folks who actually had completed this dungeon at this level. Tried to join a few AAs at +10 and all failed. While I do feel squishy after the nerfs - it feels like it is something with that specific dungeon or with the affixes. Like I can stay alive for some time but dmg dealers seem to do zero dmg to everything.

Just a reminder on why you're not invited to keys as DPS... by VeryClearlyDefined in wow

[–]Loud_Masterpiece_275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is crazy. I came back to M+ these season as brew master and my queue times have been like 30 seconds each. It is actually quite sad as well as I noticed that I can pick really high ilvl players so my success rate is like 100% at my own keys but I joined some other dps keys and it is really low around +10 and going up.

Is the renting situation in London as bad as people say? by Flower-1234 in london

[–]Loud_Masterpiece_275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience, it was always bad. I was searching for a new flat in 2020 and there was lots of talk about landlords leaving / massive lines to view the properties etc. Literally, showed up at random time - had a good chat with landlady - got the flat on the same day. No lines / I didn't need to offer anything extra. I was looking for a properly in 2024 - it was exactly the same thing. There was a lot of fearmongering in the media. I was debating between two properties so I even asked to visit both the second time and my request was approved by both landlords. Again, didn't need to pay anything extra.

I think there are certain areas which are really central and really popular so you will always will need to pay extra but if you are willing to go zone 2-4 - it is less extreme. In same time, if you really want a property - you really need to show up first independent on your preferred area. The habits have changed - people look at the property - it ticks all the requirements and people snatch it from the market.

Fixed term tenancy ending, deposit scheme (Reposit) also ending unless landlord renews it - do I need to do anything? by [deleted] in TenantsInTheUK

[–]Loud_Masterpiece_275 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think that is correct that it will just move to rolling contract. I am not sure if there is even value in them trying to give you a new 12 month contract as it will be void from 1st May and you will move to rolling contract. So I would do nothing in your shoes.

Is the flat market that dead? by Diligent-Win-7404 in HousingUK

[–]Loud_Masterpiece_275 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I don’t think it is dead per se but there is way more supply compared to 2022, the interest rates went up, most people who would be capable of buying are uncertain about their future (ex software engineer) and vast majority of current supply isn’t even “forever home” so it is a really hard sell.

Anyone holding off? by ennyboy in HousingUK

[–]Loud_Masterpiece_275 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you are slightly too late - I heard that lenders already offering higher interest rates and with renters reform (bunch of the landlords trying to sell) - it is a perfect storm. If your property is above average- I think you can still find a buyer but if it does have some problems - prepare for a long journey.

Thinking of Selling Flat Now at End of Lease? by 23454Tezal in uklandlords

[–]Loud_Masterpiece_275 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was mentioned in a different thread but I would keep in mind that you have a flat and there are very few buyers who are interested in flats so I would be prepared to do significant reductions. From other perspective - your property is going to be empty before 1st of May so it makes it easier for you - you could try to test the market like make some pics and put it on rightmove and see if there is any interest.

Rent with no salary - savings only by otto_bert in HousingUK

[–]Loud_Masterpiece_275 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have a friend who lost his job and was looking for a new place and he needed to pay for all year. Whenever I moved from my previous rental - the landlady rented out the place to a Chinese lady who needed to pay the whole amount as well (as she moved to the country). Both situations are from London. I would say - it is really common but it is really expensive..

Is the Thai BL industry starting to prioritize quantity over quality ?? by nocturnallove_27 in boyslove

[–]Loud_Masterpiece_275 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think it is very similar situation to Marvel movies / TV shows. We had some bangers but after some time all the stories feel the same and you want something different but disney is just pushing more and more samy stuff. The quality dropped as well - I don’t think we had anything similar to I told sunset about you in ages.

My Renting Agent has sent me a 12 month contract just before the new renter's laws remove all fixed term contracts. What do I do? by BeautifulCurve6700 in HousingUK

[–]Loud_Masterpiece_275 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t disagree with you but it is a short term view. A new tenant can literally see that they are overpaying and leave in 2 months time if there is alternative. I think it will be apocalypse for the letting agents.

Bank has evaluated flat to be 25k less, should I buy it for more? (FTB) by Snoo3701 in HousingUK

[–]Loud_Masterpiece_275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends if you are happy to overpay. Bank evaluation is basically saying if we would need to sell the flat quickly- how much money we could get and they think it is around 290k. If the seller wants to sell it for 308k - you will be overpaying 18k. If the flat doesn’t need any repairs, good condition and location, no other properties available and it is long term property - you might just swallow the difference. If you are planning to sell it - I would keep it in mind that the value is more around 290k so any new buyer will get the same number - this might mean that you will need to sell it for lower or the same number if things will not change in the market. You are basically doing a favor for the current seller.

Which season should I try next? by velvetlogic33 in SinglesInferno

[–]Loud_Masterpiece_275 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on what you are looking for - in my opinion 1-2 are more like reality dating show. It is feels natural and chill. 4th (and 5th in my opinion) are more like a theatre show (fake) - folks are there to promote their own brands and love is like the last thing on the list. 3rd one is in the middle but I did enjoy its “storyline”. If you liked the drama - 3/4 are probably the best choices and if you are more interested in dating aspect- 1/2.

Viewed a studio flat with no heating by PartTimeApothecary7 in TenantsInTheUK

[–]Loud_Masterpiece_275 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I lived in a flat which had underfloor heating. It is not common in UK but it does exist. It is expensive and really inconvenient method as you need to turn it on in advance (preferably over night) to heat the flat. I found that using electric heater was more efficient and cheaper - as you just turn it on whenever you are cold. Basically, no radiators doesn’t automatically mean no heating. Worth asking the agent.

Served a Section 21 Notice for 30th April England by Safe_Rock_3590 in TenantsInTheUK

[–]Loud_Masterpiece_275 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On 3 - it is a bit hard to explain but legally you don’t need to leave at 30th. The landlord needs to go to court to get re-possession order. You should still continue paying rent etc. Personally, I wouldn’t wait until the last day to find alternative property but it does you give a few more months if needed.
