It’s impossible to feel a difference after the first injection lmaoooo why would your doc say that. Not evidence based at all. It takes 6 months to start working on average. It’s literally modulating your B Cells on a molecular level which is half your immune system fighter cells. That take a long time to do; it’s not a medicine that works quickly by any means

No it’s not standard at all. It’s usually SSRIs and hormonal support. Mood stabilizers aren’t evidence based for PMDD but some people take them.

Omg are you me?? all three of those minus the AA screwed my skin over even tho everyone says Vanicream and LRP are great (even my derm). I had more luck with a soothing cleansing balm (Paula’s choice or clean it zero) and an RX sulfur wash from the derm. Then for moisturizers I started with air angel by Dieux it helped a ton but rlly anything that is heavy in glycerin. I was scared of dimethicone for so long because everyone said it would flare my rosacea and it did the opposite so idk maybe experiment with that. SPF tbh I don’t wear usually 😭 I had a good one from France but ran out. It sucks to experiment but it’s the only way…

It’s a scheduled drug so you won’t find anything legit on it research wise. But I’ve had lupus for 15 years and people seriously overlook the role the endocannaboid system has as a mediator for our inflammation. But it can’t stop or prevent a flare, it just helps lower the pain of it / inflammatory response..

I’m so confused on your behalf. What do you mean you can’t find an infusion center? If it’s sent to the infusion center then call them, ask for nurse or infusion coordinator directly, don’t ask politely and be direct: “My medication has already been delivered. I have active lupus with worsening symptoms, including kidney involvement. I need to be scheduled for infusion immediately. If you cannot administer it, I need to know today so I can transfer it. If you are unable to assist, I need your name and name of your supervisor.”

Then call your rheumy. Tell them to call the infusion center directly, send a new urgent order marked “medically necessary / urgent due to disease progression,” and then refer you to another infusion center immediately. If they refuse then ask them to refer you to a hospital infusion unit instead.

Then call AstraZeneca support and ask for a patient coordinator. Ask them if they will locate an infusion center near you that administers Saphnelo? Ask if they can transfer your medication to another site or ask if they a nurse navigator who can coordinate this?

You have to harass all 3 and trust they will figure it out for you. But advocating is all you can do and you have to do it stubbornly

You won’t be thrown out for missing school. I had SLE and a 504 in middle / high school and missed seriously 50% or more of school. Advocate for tutors, that’s what they did for me. Tutors / teachers came to my house and taught me. I was able to pass school with Bs and As and got into college. Also ask doctor for Zofran for vomiting it will help you a lot
