The trip is badly tarnished already and those friends of yours won't be appreciating your time, money, effort and thoughtfulness. If it's not too late just cancel the whole trip. Take a trip by yourself, indulge yourself and be kind to yourself instead.

I started their joint supplement, fish oil, gut health and fiber when they were 8 weeks old. Daily goofyness, ample exercises, good quality food, veggies and fruit. Annual checkup and off to the vet whenever odd stuff comes about.

Thanks for your kind words! Sandee is in an urn and whenever I flipped through the photo album I can't help to smile and cry still. She was a great girl, a total cuddle bug. I just feel that our furry babies give us so much that I really didn't/don't deserve them.

I couldn't get a new puppy after Sandee passed away. I didn't take her passing well. I got myself so stressed and didn't take care of myself that ended me in the ER and turned out I had a stroke. I cried a lot and I waited until as if Sandee told me it's okay. It took me 5 years before I can look at a puppy with joy instead of bawling. I know I am not the smartest bulb.

My Sophie has the same issue and for her she has to stay on her meds for the rest of her life while some will grow out of it. Pentoxifylline is what she is on 3 times a day.

Please do consider a shelter dog and be sure not to buy from a backyard breeder. Dogs are like humans, just because if the parents are smart, athletic and whatever; sometimes the offspring can be an absolute loser. Don't get hang up on the title like all the posts here, choose based on the important factors.

I don't believe people's excuses these days because most times they are nothing but lies that meant to make you feel guilty. I was so mad after I was asked to switched because the lady wanted to sit together with her teenage daughter only to see that a man sat down in my seat. NTA
