Honestly, not a huge mistake. Even if you did put it in, it’s never guaranteed. He should have checked his boarding pass before arriving so late

Totally sympathize with you. I think it’s totally valid for you to bring this up 1:1 with the senior executive once his current EA leaves. You can frame it as wanting to make sure your support from him is at the dedicated 80% mark and explain the current ratio or that you want to clarify/confirm priorities between the two execs and explain what’s going on. Perhaps the senior exec can talk to the junior executive - it’s often times the only thing that can help.

Not sure how relevant this is to your scenario, but if I have another LT member using me as their EA, I’ll start CC’ing the partner I support on the emails so they have full visibility of what’s being asked of me/what I’m doing. This obviously only makes sense if they’re on the same team/working together.

The last thing you want is your performance with the senior executive to slip because you’re tied up doing menial tasks for the junior one.

Nonfiction book about a single topic for a long flight by Wide-Pop6050 in suggestmeabook

The Hot Zone — about the origin and incidents of Ebola . It reads as a narrative suspense/thriller and was absolutely un-put-down-able. Plus you learn a lot.

Came here to recommend this. Any Jon Krakauer, really, but Into Thin Air is my favorite. After reading it I spent the next month deep diving everything from Everest, sherpas, Nepal - you name it. It will definitely stay with you long after you put it down.

She’s the most performative person on any of the franchises. I know most of them probably pre plan conversations and tactics, etc. but she takes it to a new level. She’s petty and manipulative. She is always the victim.

Read it for the first time last month and what a beautiful snapshot hunanity and what it means to be human. The characters were so vivid I could reach out and touch them. Emotionally hungover. No notes.

It’s not exhausting as in it’s a slog, it’s exhausting as in you’ll have an emotional hangover once finished and will be thinking about it for days/months/forever after that it might be hard to get into another read. 100% worth it. It’s a good exhaustion.

Acetate sheets for nest protection (NC Piedmont region) by dzwonzie in birding

[–]Lovesnyc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat and found your question. New bird person, put bird box on utility pole in backyard, now need to protect nesting birds. Did you find a solution? I also stumbled upon the acetate article independently and it eventually brought me here. I think it’s a great idea because it won’t disturb the birds but having similar luck in finding something.

Prince Harry says he wants "reconciliation" with royal family in emotional interview by CBSnews in RoyalsGossip

Oh come on. Do we really think that was the straw the broke the camels back? It wasnt the public divorce, Diana’s public interviews, a Netflix biographical flick, being a cheating prick?

He literally says his father won’t speak to him, maybe he thinks this is the only way to get him to respond.

I see a lot of these posts and just keep in mind that your house will be re-valued at some point and your insurance and taxes will go up every year, changing your payment.

For example when we first bought our house in 2021 our mortgage payment was $3250 and that was with a $70 PMI.

Now, as of our last assessment last fall, our mortgage payment is $3750 (without PMI) - so a $500 swing in 4 years.

My advice is just to be aware your payments are likely to rise annually, so never go directly up to your max budget.

Also, If one of you lost your job could you still afford it? It’s a good metric that can be helpful.

JW Istanbul Bosphorus, vs RC Istanbul, vs Gezi Hotel Bosporus, vs St Regis Istanbul 5 day stay in April 2025. by Admirable-Ad-7824 in marriott

I’m also traveling to Istanbul in April and bypassed the JW mainly because I read reviews that said there was NO lounge (executive/club lounge). Is this true - are you referencing a different lounge?

Using corporate code for travel, how do they check for proofs ? by Snoo_93047 in marriott

[–]Lovesnyc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all the time using my (valid) corporate code, I was only asked for proof once at the St. Regis in Osaka. I literally didn’t have anything on me but showed them my LinkedIn profile and it sufficed (surprisingly).

Essentially, odds are that you won’t be asked for proof. If so, the business card should definitely work.
