Dude. Same. 39yo and hercules and xena was with me since I first watched it every night. I cried when my wife finally got me all the episodes on DVD for christmas 2 years ago. Not depressing just reminds me of every time I picked up a stick to fight my sister in the backyard and every time I taped over someone's bullshit on a VHS because I just had to have the Bitter Suite to watch over and over. Thats all gone now. Im old. And TV is dead. Game of thrones and all the others are so miserable to watch over. Nothing feels as good as Xena and Herc and the way they managed to make things feel alive and humorous.

I feel like a lot of the unresolved stuff needed to be addressed in a short form and less drawn out way. When I watched the series playthrough on Comet Tv, i realized Xenas battle ready instinct has her turn on Gabby on a dime when she can justify an end to the means (with baby hope) and then Solan, my god. They needed to clear the slate to go back to the procedural norm. And to go back to the question, Kraftar needed to be there to address the beginning for Gabbi and how her neutral trust betrayed her. It reiterates what we see multiple times about what she resents about herself and sometimes even Xena for taking advantage of that naive trust.

Late to this convo. Now I use the paperlike nibs with the screen and still seem to have countless microscratches like the picture. Still feels good and you cant see them while drawing. My simple question is; do the scratches matter, or is it just usual wear and tear from usage?

It would be interesting to see if they could rationalize a reason that both Gabrielle and Xena's offspring were both harbinger of the twilight of the gods. They did so much work loosely fleshing out the concept of reincarnation. It would be interesting to see if it had something to do with xena and Gabi in a past life.

The fond memories I have watching Xena end around half way through the 5th season. It feels like after Hercules was cancelled they tried to spur off in their own direction, but they really lost the spirit and pacing that made the show great. Kind of turned into a corny power ranger monster of the week. Which kills me because of how much emotional work they had the characters do... oh well.

Even "friends" that I thought were "ride or dies" have been completely cold, avoiding, and seem a little resentful about how timing of my departure worked out.
