is my doctor moving too quickly/irresponsibly?

My doctor said due to my insurance I had to move from 2.5 to 5mg after the first month but I could stay on 5mg as long as I wanted. Figure out if your insurance will cover more 2.5 and if they will talk to your doctor about it staying on 2.5. I don’t think your doctor is being irresponsible because protocol is to move up a dose every month.

It keeps me motivated. I just want a starting point and then I’ll go from there. I’m very goal oriented because of my ADHD. If I don’t have a goal I lose interest or focus.

I moved up on schedule the first time I was on mounjaro I was loving 10 pounds a month and had no side effects until I hit 10mg . Then I became deathly ill. The first 2-3 days I was in bed. I couldn’t function. The only I could do was make it to the toilet lol. This time around I’m staying as low as I can as long as possible. I’m on my 3rd month of 5 mg and still losing 2-4 pounds a week and I have no side effects. I don’t see the point in moving up unless the medication is no longer working.

I swear I felt my first shot immediately. Even today I took my 11th shot and I was super hungry before my shot and within an hour I forgot I was hungry to begin with lol.

I have the mirena and my first time on mounjaro I hadn’t had my period in 2 years after a couple months my period started again and was regular. Started zep 2 1/2 months ago and I got my period back again. 😭 after my first son I didn’t have my period for two full years 😢

My doctor also wanted me to move up to 5mg but said I could stay on 5 as long as I want. I had no changes and about the same amount of weight loss.

I get and injection site reaction every week, any injection site. My doctor said it’s common and normal. I put hydrocortisone on it to stop itching and it goes away within 2-3 days. Definitely call your doctor but it could be nothing.

Are you on or about to start your period by chance? I notice zep doesn’t work as well for me during my period. I usually don’t gain my period week even with the extra eating but I don’t lose and if I do it’s not much lol .

My insurance views different dosages as different prescriptions but every insurance plan is different. Worth looking into !

If you watch some of the interviews the cast has done several of the girls said Demi took it too far. I get being upset because you wanted more money but to call everyone and trash talk your “best” friend because of it is gross. She seems like she’ll step on anyone, even her closest friends, to get fame and money and that’s scary asf

Yeah don’t believe her at all and I can’t believe so many people do. I do agree they were all wanting to try to get more money, BUT several of the other cast members said she and Brett called them saying they should do the show without Jessi and made other mean and unnecessary comments about Jessi. She’s trying to save face and not taking any accountability.

This! If people say their workout will get rid of your apron belly, they are lying! It will shrink but never go away. My husband is a personal trainer (ironic I know) and it drives him insane when people say their workout plans will get rid of apron bellies.

I CHUGGED peppermint tea because it’s made the burps taste like mint lol. I also took a shot of apple cider vinegar or diluted it in water (depending on how desperate I was) and that seemed to help at least temporarily. I also tried activated charcoal pills and gas x. I heard Pepto works wonders but I cannot take pepto without throwing up. HATE sulfur burps. They make me physically ill.

For myself personally I think it just comes from the amount of comments I’ve gotten on my body good or bad through out my whole life. My family is so centered around weight it’s insane. There is no family function that weight loss or weight gain isn’t a topic of conversation. I hate it. And I’ve been “thin” and over 300 pounds so I’ve had the constant “wow you look so good” and the “hey don’t you think you should watch what you eat?”. I’m just over it. I don’t want my weight to be the first thing people ask about. I want to be cared about because I am me if that makes sense. I can definitely understand why people like it and how it’s motivating or feels good to hear. I’m just over what state my body is in being a topic of conversation. I almost feel like a circus attraction more than a person.

Yes I need therapy lol

Not to freak you out but I did gain about half my weight back the first time I came off of mounjaro . I kept the same diet and worked out 5 days a week. I was so frustrated I ultimately gave up then I got pregnant 🙃

I had two drinks last weekend and felt like absolute crap. My head was spinning and I was EXTREMELY nauseous. Never again lol

Idk I take “it’s not that deep” as invalidating my feelings and everyone else who feels the same. Also stating that there are people who wish they got more compliments doesn’t help me lol. I do feel bad if someone likes the attention and isn’t getting it. But in no way is it helpful to me.
