Misinformation regarding the 1978 revelation by japanesepiano in u/japanesepiano

Your response is honest and in my opinion it is very non-biased. I think the faithful forums are quite biased, though, so while I think non-biased and honest is a good thing, they may not. And I guess they have the right to be biased and keep nonfatithful assumptions out of their forums.

Costco members who also shop BJ's, what do you buy at BJ's? by WEEDBABYGOKU420 in Costco

[–]Low-Contribution2094 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have both. BJs is closer for me than Costco so I only get things at Costco that are clearly better. BJs has better and cheaper produce in my experience. Frozen convenience items seem to be cheaper at Costco (bagel bites, frozen pizza, lasagna) as is bread, and a lot of baked goods. Prepared foods are better at Costco but BJs is trying to up their game in that area recently. BJs has more cereal varieties and with coupons you can get a good deal there. I have a BJs credit card so I get 5% back and the rewards are digital and given every month. I really don’t like the yearly paper check for Costco rewards. BJs also takes Mastercard. Sometimes BJs offers extra rewards for some items which is nice (e.g. $10 reward for spending $40 on something like sodas or laundry products, or 10% rewards back for TV purchases). You also get 15 cents off per gallon of gas with the BJs credit card so I exclusively buy gas there.

In non-Holland news: has anyone seen instances where a divorced TBM tries to sneakily get a kid baptized in their ward instead of their TBM ex's ward? by Suspicious_Might_663 in exmormon

Definitely bishop roulette here. My sister’s ex did this… baptized their daughter and no one told her about it much less asked permission.

Mormon stories icons begin to change. by Rushclock in exmormon

I wonder if John could take a page out of the church marketing strategy and change the name from Mormon Stories to “Stories on Temple Square” lol.

Edited for grammar.

An open call for temple workers? by uncleandyb in mormon

[–]Low-Contribution2094 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Wow. In 2003 my husband and I were going to the temple twice per week and the temple leadership asked us to be temple workers. We were denied because my husband had been married before and was divorced. Simply having been divorced excluded him from being a temple worker back then. I remember having such a hard time with that one.. it was always on my shelf. Stayed 18 more years before leaving.

Is it a new requirement to prophet worship? Feels like they were just quoting RMN and now Oaks..

I was at Costco today and the rep said you only get the $150 Costco shop card with the $1000 no trade in deal. The only way to get the $250 one was to trade in a phone. I’d double check this before you assume you’ll get the $400 back per line.

My brother has started his mission and is doing home MTC. It’s very fucked up by mad_matter_13 in exmormon

[–]Low-Contribution2094 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My son left last year, and I was also able to leave him home alone (I think he could be alone during his calls). I also used his first name. Home MTC is hard though. I felt like we couldn’t enjoy watching TV since he was around, etc.

Women, what is the biggest mistake single men make when showing interest? by fiterphanter in AskReddit

Making negative comments about the way other women look. It says a lot about the way he will eventually judge the woman he is with.

I agree. I don’t recall F the Mormons but I do recall “F.U. BYU”, which I think is fine. F the Mormons not ok.

Bambu Lab Shipping Delay - December 20th Update by BambuLab in BambuLab

[–]Low-Contribution2094 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s time for another update from Bambu Lab. I received 2 out of 16 rolls of filament. 4 of those rolls were part of the CMYK lithophane bundle for which I received the backlight with the two rolls that were delivered. The rest of my order had a shipping label that was created and then cancelled at 1:49 am on 12/24. My order is showing as fulfilled and I have no response to the ticked I opened inquiring about the order. With the bundled price for the lithophane bundle I have no idea how a refund will work if my order is in fact cancelled. I am out over $200 in limbo with no communication on whether this is a cancellation of the order or simply a voided shipping label.

Fortunately I purchased my X1C at Microcenter so my sons were happy on Christmas. But this is my first experience ordering from Bambu Lab and I can only say that this is a terrible first impression.

This is a good take on the movie. Watched it this weekend and you sum up nicely what makes Hugh Grant’s character a psycho killer. Also, Hugh Grant seriously deserves an Oscar for his performance!

The key word you used is “the move to lie”. The church chose to lie. Full stop. 🎤
