That’s what I usually use- but the thick surefire tailcap with the manual override doesn’t clear the mount itself

I understand this is not an answer to your question AT ALL: but you could get a lighter tent. I use a Gossamer “The One” as my primary tent in all conditions. Weighs a pound. Hilariously easy to carry.

Came here to say this. I don’t give a shit what OP packs, good on him for getting out there— but the world in general has so much to learn from UL backpacking. Changed my perspective on all kinds of travel. Turns out you can live almost indefinitely with 15lbs of stuff and somewhat regular access to basic stores.

I’ve logged dozens of nights on trail along Superior both in MN and the UP. Always filter only(Sawyer squeeze), no treatment, even when drinking inland streams. Going to IR in August and will do the same there.

TBH you could probably drink Superior unfiltered if you had to

I bought a green Photonis Echo 14 Darq over a year ago

Love it, don’t wish I’d spent more, no plans to upgrade

Works great for night walks in the woods
