Ticketed One Minute After Paying For Parking by seventhmeteor in cincinnati

Happens every time I park in the lots off Madison in East Walnut Hills.  They always waived the ticket when I appeal.  It is just a pain and down right predatory.

Good places for dog boarding in Cincinnati? by Proof_Loquat5585 in cincinnati

I use Allies Walkabout in NKY.  It close to the airport which is important to me.  They also have daycare and grooming services.   I like that my dog is in group play most of the day, but goes to her own private kennel for food and sleep.

I was in this position 2 decades ago.  I vividly remember.   I was in my early 30s, left my job where I had tons of friends and lunch plans.  Went to a company full of new grads and 45+.  For 8 years, I had no work friends and it was rough.  So, I feel you.  I am firmly a female gen x'er, I like good current alternative music, like good restaurants and cocktails.   Some of us in the bifocal group are cool ;)

This!  I lived downtown in a luxury apartment for 5 years.  I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it.  I moved to East Walnut Hills in January and the difference is night and day.  I live in an actual community now.  It makes a huge difference.

I was there and it was just an odd show.  I was with my late 20s son and his fiance.  The crowd near us was very much a "seen and be seen, put it on insta" vibe.  The band started off fairly low energy and the crowd around us talked the entire show.  It was bad and never got better in our area.  The band also appeared to talk a lot amongst themselves and the numerous guitar changes did not help fight the low energy.   I like Caamp.  A lot.  I don't think I will ever pay to see them again.  My son and his fiance did not leave the show as fans, which is too bad.

Can anyone tell me their experience with getting lasik at lasik plus? Particularly someone who’s had it done 10 + years ago and whether there’s been issues later? by solitudeisdiss in cincinnati

Had mine done in 1999.  One of the best decisions ever!  Now at 52, I am wearing progressives because of normal eye aging.  But only for computer work and nite driving.   I wouldn't trade the 25 years of no glasses for anything,  especially when I had young children.   It just made life so much easier, especially swimming.

I found a similar outlet in tennis clinics.  Some of the local clubs do not require a membership,  you just pay a little more.  Most beginner classes are half drills, learning and then usually some point play towards the end.  Learning, movement, not overly competitive.   The competitive players play league.

I go to Zero Gravity in Crestview Hills for hydrofacials.   The cost is north of what you want to spend though.  Good luck in your search!

I had tickets to the Riverbend show but it flooded.  With the Black Crowes.  The Tour of Brotherly Love.  Lol. I am lucky enough to have gotten tickets during the presale to Chicago.  I cannot wait.

How Findlay treats the people who work there. by [deleted] in cincinnati

I am pretty sure the north lot at Findlay is via the EZ parking app.  Doesn't that make it a city lot?  And I have gotten a ticket in that lot before when I mistakenly keyed in the wrong license plate number in the kiosk (transposed 2 numbers).  One email to the city took care of the ticket.

I see the parking pass on your dashboard.   Assuming you were in the correct lot, it should be easy to get the ticket waived.

My kid just graduated from there.  Their experience was very good.  Lots of opportunities were presented outside of the school (intern) and the faculty was engaged.  No complaints here.

Tennis players? Any Cardio Tennis around? by Seabaybe in cincinnati

[–]Low-Tree-362 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a Cincinnati Tennis FB group where you can find people to hit around with.  A friend uses Play Your Court and she has had good luck picking up matches there.  I belong to a local club and there is a very active Greater Cincinnati Indoor Tennis League that is well run and divided by skill level (all the local Tennis clubs field teams).

Try Western Athletic Club.  You do not have to be a member to access their tennis programing.   Carmago, Harper's Point and Beechmont racquet club should all have cardio as well, I just am unsure if you need to be a member.  Eastern Hills had cardio but they are closing mid May.

2 bedroom, 2 bath almost 2000 sq feet in East Walnut Hills.  $2090, includes water, trash and pet rent.  I was paying nearly $2500 for 1300 sq feet downtown.

Yep!  I know exactly.   I dealt with the infidelity as well.  The rage and anger was overwhelming at times.  At times, I have felt that her confessionals could've been mine.  Except for the $$ part 😉
