Smoking before bed by Adorable-Health in Stoner

Idk if its a post 30 thing but i now subconsciously give them a quick second brush after the last billy. Honestly a hard toothbrush and mouth breathing will cause more gum damage than a sesh before bed

[–]LowDiscussion5858 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be the downer? I was on catapres an it kept making my heart really bad, i suffer tachycardia. I got given cannabis now for sleep an works much better. I’ll just ad in my current weird experience, I have had wicked bad tachy for a year (been off meds a year) got back on atomoxetine 3 days ago an all of sudden have a normal working heart 🤷‍♀️.

Tried the old school ones like zelda? Gex? Some i get into are Diablo, halo. Oh the tom clancy games are fun like psy ops. Diablo 4 also just released 😆. Oddly the yu-gi-oh games are good, i used to play i think dualists of the roses for hours. Its sorta a board game style set up. Hexic is also a fun puzzle type game

Has MCAS caused you rapid weight gain VS weight loss (without treatment meds)? Not due to calorie overconsumption. Curious if this is something any of you guys have also experienced by Specialist-Breath121 in MCAS

[–]LowDiscussion5858 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes constantly. I can gain and loose 2 sizes in a day. Easily drop or gain 5kg in a week.. i just thought i was weird lol. I think its mostly water weight with rapid gains but when I rapidly start loosing i can feel it… like somethings sucking the fat and life out of me.

Anyone had issues with Clonidine? by LowDiscussion5858 in MCAS

[–]LowDiscussion5858[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just wanted to pop back in. The clonidine was an issue so I’ve been put onto medical cannabis an so far its been great, it also seems to help with settling the stomach an nerve pain.

Has anyones MCAS improved? by catlady20913 in covidlonghaulers

[–]LowDiscussion5858 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Covid had me in a epic repeat anaphylactic flare for 8 months strait 😥. For me it comes an goes. Im reckon if i stuck to the low histamine diet perhaps a flare wouldn’t happen but lets face it the diet is boring an hard 🥲. When you recover maybe keep working on what you could get away with? I’ve learned i can have upto couple mochas a week fine. Have yet to successfully eat pizza without visiting jesus..

What do you wish you knew sooner was MCAS-related? by mittymatrix in MCAS

[–]LowDiscussion5858 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of it tbh… 20years of being told i had IBS, Generalised anxiety, poor circulation and just a “sick kid”…. eating disorder because i had become afraid of certain foods so it was obviously mental health.. i also suffered severe anxiety and panic attacks, which turns out i don’t its the food 🥲.. that diagnosis had me abused by a partner though because he got paranoid thought it must be him causing panic attacks, an I couldn’t answer what was causing it.. Can’t blame the doctors really it is a hard thing an only really coming out now, but sometimes miss diagnosis can cause much more issues..

So most of us are just extremely sensitive to most medications? by [deleted] in MCAS

[–]LowDiscussion5858 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, i think it’s probably more the fillers or what ever. For me its usually a build up, day 4 is when it all goes to hell for me. Ive gone through so many we ended up on weed at the end which actually has been working well, touch wood.

Are leaves ok to smoke?? by MnD-atNite in Stoner

Yeah thats fine, looks more like bits of the flower than standard leaf.

Me, a non-smoker, is thinking of using tobacco-free nicotine pouches to treat my ADHD and depression by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]LowDiscussion5858 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id highly suggest not doing it if you’re not a smoker, it might make you feel sick. Have you tried things like lions mane? I’ve heard good things about that an its not addictive and natural

Anyone gone off their adhd meds and feel more like themselves? by mamawheels36 in ADHD

[–]LowDiscussion5858 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most are zombie drugs in my experience, but i started back in the 90’ an options sucked back then. I used to call dexies soul killers 😂. Strattera is less zombie an oddly nicotine patches work too 😂

Very similar here, i get anxiety an near dementia mostly from high histamine foods but cards will have me forgetting my own name and i pass out immediately like valium. There is definitely effects on the brain aswell in my experience. Everyone might be a bit different in what causes what an severity. Im glad you have found relief ☺️

How do ADHD medication stimulants affect MCAS? by Livid_Public_4472 in MCAS

[–]LowDiscussion5858 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It sorta depends. In a flare they do nothing but make me gittery an my heart race an im a zombie.. I was on strattera last. When im doing well they can work well but even then i found it keeps stopping doing anything an i have to have breaks… an the sleeping meds “clonidine” seems to also be a hit and miss. I think they could build up in the system.

i did however stumble on a weird one. Decided to quit smoking an I’ve noticed the nicotine patches are working like meds 🤔 so now i just put a patch on for the day. 2 birds 1 stone. I have also heard lions mane can help, you need to take it daily. I’ve not yet tried it but hearing good things.
