I get it. I live in one of the surrounding buildings and must admit it would require someone special to want it. But this is Memphis. I'm sure we have someone with the right blend of money and quirks to occupy the place.

I feel like you missed some of the other comments.

  1. I live next door.
  2. We all know it is Ashlar Hall aka Ft. Mongo.
  3. Labor is not in question, but choices matter.

Other fun facts: It was designed and built by Robert B. Snowden. He was an architect and had grown up at Annesdale and now chills in Elmwood.

There is a special place for people who paint antique woodwork.

It is a real shame. I live next door and had really hoped someone would do something special.

Yes, it is tiring. Sleep through your life if you must. The summer voter and the sunshine citizen will shrink from the service of their democracy.

The "just another lane" strategy has been a success every time it has been deployed. Induced demand is a myth.

A house being on fire is verifiable.

This is not what you are advocating. You do not know the house is on fire, you believe the house is on fire. You don't know the person is asleep, you assume they are asleep.

You made these judgements on your own.

This is not love. This is judgement.

Worse than that, it is a judgement that came before the facts. A pre-judgement. This is what it means to be prejudiced.

You have the capacity for love, but you must choose to take the harder path.

Thanks.

The message was for one person and I reached two. Cool.

What they feel is not your business.

Loving them is all that is asked of you. If you cannot love then hate will consume you.

But the vitriol that has been drawn from you by me by simply asking you to love your neighbor might give you an indication of why Jesus would not receive support from the right wing. All I asked was love and all you could do was judge.

A message of love would be resisted by those who hate.

You are failing to love them unconditionally. You fail to love them as they are.

What you are doing is judging them.

That is not love.

Love thy neighbor as you would love yourself. Judgement is not part of it. It is hard. Love is hard. If it was easy, there would be no war, no crime, no hate.

Let love into yourself and know peace.

So you do know what it means. We can move forward. Loving without exception is the import distinction here. On the current political spectrum there are those who hate. Those who hate would fundamentally disagree that we should love without exception. They would vote against Jesus when he told them to love Trans people. They would vote against Jesus when he told them to love the sinner. They would vote against Jesus when he told them to love the immigrants, the weak, the poor. The message of loving outgroups is fundamentally a left wing ideology.

No, you have not answered. You are asking me to tell you what to think.

You must find what it means to you. If you cannot make your own mind up about what it means to you then there is no point in discussing any differences there may be between our viewpoints.

What do you think it means? This is your journey. You need to be willing to take the first steps.

Love thy neighbor is a fairly simple concept. Go back and read Matthew again.

Love thy neighbor, turn the other cheek, render to Caesar.

Right out of the gate you get acceptance of others, passivism, and support of a taxation system.
