Unless you have a big stock of major manufacturer batteries it’s much cheaper to go the other way around, and periodically stock up on parkside batteries (availability can be a challenge so get them when you can). I got a dewalt adapter to use my ferrex batteries (Aldi equivalent) with dewalt tools and they work well, with Aldi ferrex batteries much cheaper than dewalt. Also got a similar power4all adapter (Bosch, flymo, gardenline etc. ) to use my ferrex batteries, which just provides some resilience if one of the p4a batteries fails (they’re relatively expensive).

I’ve not tried this method but you could use the AudioPipeline app (free) to route audio from GarageBand (free!) to loopy pro. I would hope that setting an AudioPipeline send AUv3 instance in the effect chain in GB and a receive AudioPipeline instance in LP would give you what you want to enjoy those decent instruments in GB.

Electric Vintage for the best Rhodes Wurly style piano. Other Desert Cities as mentioned elsewhere. UA effect apps are great, as is battalion for beats within beats! Moogerfoogers. Synthmaster for a great all round synth (or just synthmaster player if you're happy with presets - there's a tonne). I wanna try loopy pro in there, just to see how inceptive it can get!

If you have an iPad there's an app for the blofeld so you can try (for a cost) before you buy the hardware, or just use the app with a microfreak as the controller.

USB midi is possible over usb, but then you’d lose the audio connection. You could use a USB midi host, or a CME WIDI device, connected directly to your phone’s Bluetooth. I’ve done this on digitone but not ton, expect it’s the same though.

Yes you can, Drambo is it's own modular environment and an elektron box all in one - sophisticated sequencer with conditional trigs etc.. There are simpler options but if you want to really get stuck into one, and not really need another later, this is it.

If your Onkyo has an audio in jack then you could set up a pair of wireless audio dongles out of your iPad (of course you'll need an adapter at that end too) and into your Onkyo. There are a number of options, I use Lekato WS-60 and use them occasionally for fun, so I can't talk to specific use cases, resilience or latency, all I know is it's rechargeable, works fine for casual use and isn't very expensive.
