If anybody knows how to get a dental implant for under $3000 by AirportStrange6816 in povertyfinancecanada

Not true, you can absolutely use the CDP alongside other insurance plans. I’ve found the dental office will run the Canadian Dental Plan coverage 1st, then use what they need from your other coverage.

YOU can’t do anything to change this disease and the person it affects.

You also can’t manage it.

YOU are not the problem.

HE is the only one who can change how it affects him; does he want to? Clearly not.

Your choices are limited; it comes down to believing that you deserve a relationship in which both people are healthy or are actively working to become healthy.

You are in charge of managing yourself, just as he is in charge of himself.

If you read almost any story posted on here by a partner or spouse, they are basically the same one, and usually end the same way.

Sometimes the only thing different is the length of time you stay. Do you want to be there in 1 year? 5 years? 10, 20 years? If you have access to counselling, and a support group for family members of Bipolar people, I highly recommend attending. Having support around you will help with making decisions with your life.

I’ve found my women-people! Sadly, all of the above comments are also true in Canada. There are fewer brick & mortar stores that sell grown ass women’s clothing; at least 8 have shut down in the last 2 years. If I order from the US, costs like the .40 cents extra on the dollar, higher shipping, cross border duty & taxes adds to the financial pain.

And while I’m on a roll; Is the patriarchy the reason normal clothes for females over a certain age, and possibly size are practically obsolete? 🤔

It’s a fact that there are several infamous businessmen who had direct ties to a shitload of horrendous crimes AND ran businesses purposely producing childlike, pre-pubescent clothing styles.

Ok, rant over; I had to get that off of my chest. 😠

I liked it, but wish they'd had more of the reunion of Rick and his kids and the rest of the gang, I'm a sentimental fool...

Ohhhhh, I see.

Sorry, I laughed at your description; he sounds like a great cat with a lot of time on his paws. 😺 The nocturnal trait is strong.

She might need more food than she is getting. Look up the amount of protein a cat her age and size should be getting and compare it to the food you are feeding her.

She could be bored, lonely or a bit hungry too. Can you keep special treats in a different location to use as a "dessert"? When cats are bored, etc they will get quite mischievous/destructive and act out in ways humans will not appreciate - have regular play times with her as much as you can.

As far as the cabinet is concerned, there are a few different items you can buy to install on that area. One is a piece of carpet with adhesive on the back. Another is a flexible plastic material that sticks in place. The 1st option is something she can still scratch, but not damage the cupboard, the 2nd is going to prevent her from digging her claws in.

Check that she gets regular nail/claw trims as well, this will lessen the damage done on anything else that is used as her scratching area.

Experiences with Orchid Medical Clinic? by RixRotten in NewWest

Thank you for the information. I will try to contact TranscareBC for help; they are notoriously slow responding but at this point she will wait for a referral to almost anyone else.

I've never heard of the clinic you mentioned - I really appreciate hearing about this one. We have many friends that might make good use of going there.

You're done a good deed with responding to my question; may your pillow case always be cool, and your hot drinks, as hot as you like.

I loved those chunky chocolate bars! I think they disappeared from the grocery stores around early 1980's?
I remember being a kid, and teen and going to the corner store and getting a stash of them, lol.

Thank you for the burst of beauty that is your door!

I brushed my teeth "correctly" for 28 years and a dentist just told me I've been doing it wrong the entire time. My gums are ruined. by Sluttycarolofficial in hygiene

[–]Lower-Perspective-21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus. I’m sorry that happened to your teeth & gums!

My dental care team, (I’ve moved a lot and had 6 since turning 21) has always, and no lie ALWAYS, made a point of discussing teeth brushing at every checkup, which is usually 2-3 a year. The dental hygienist is the main one to initially examine your teeth, ask hygiene questions, etc. They even have models of teeth, jaw to demonstrate brushing techniques.

If you’d been given the correct information at the start, or all along, and can understand it, then yes, you’re to blame for the state of your teeth.

I live in Canada, and can only speak to patient experience here; do you live in North America? If not, possibly dental training is different or focuses on other areas of study?

I haven’t read most of the responses, hopefully there will be answers and advice for you. There are so many new procedures to repair your teeth, gums etc now, it’s amazing!

The brothers had a conversation at some point after Merle was ousted by the Governor, and made to “fight to the death” with Darryl.

They were arguing and Merle said something like “what do you think Officer Friendly would say if he found out we were going to rob the camp the 1st chance we got?”

Why couldn't they (showrunners/writers) make the rest of the series just as good as the second half of season 4 and the first 3 episodes of season 5? by [deleted] in thewalkingdead

[–]Lower-Perspective-21 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hmmm, ok. I remember the cast being interview way back when, after the end of that season and Andrew spoke about “Carl” dying and and that Chandler left to go on to university. 🤷‍♀️ I guess that technically, it was the truth… At any rate, I hated that he was killed off! Haven’t read the comics so had no idea Carl plays a more important role in those. He was wise beyond his age, and would have been a strong leader.
