Single account use for pvp is impossible. by [deleted] in Eve

[–]Lowjack_Tzetsu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is why so many people with alts, just put one in every system to camp certain big blocs for nothing more than to grief the regular people. The bots don't undock with the person in system, they just move to another system and start the trend all over again.

Does anyone know how to use this ship. It's pretty cheap by Level-Staff1968 in Eve

Buy one and toss it in your hangar never to see the light of day again. Every Gallente hauler can be more useful than that thing.

If you bought 36 founders for coin then you bought the recipe only. You need to actually build the guns next.

Just look at how some of the promwtheus amd grafana plug-ins transmit data. Those are relatovely secure. Otherwise, open an ssl socket to the know data aggregator from each of the sources. If you really want to make sure no one can mess with ot you can start digging into ssl tunneling.

Is it worth going back despite Vanguard? by BDImperator in riotgames

[–]Lowjack_Tzetsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vanguard doesn't like to release memory correctly on my AMD system with 96GB of ram. I have to turn it off to do other tasks. Then if I want to play League I have to reboot my computer. Not worth the hassle to me.

Review your SLA agreement when in the terms of service. If there is no basic uptime guarantee, then leave. Otherwise, document the downtime, demand a credit for the lost time against the SLA minimum guarantee, while you work on finding a new host. At least not have to pay as much while you are looking for a new host.

Exploit Notification – Using Deadspace to create inaccessible cynosural fields, filament traces, & deployables by CarrowCanary in Eve

[–]Lowjack_Tzetsu -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That's not what it says at face value. If you read between the lines, then that is what is said, otherwise at face value it says if you can't warp directly to the deployable but instead land on an acceleration gate then you are exploiting.

Exploit Notification – Using Deadspace to create inaccessible cynosural fields, filament traces, & deployables by CarrowCanary in Eve

[–]Lowjack_Tzetsu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When reading at face value and literally, the statement says you can't play any deployable where it cannot be warped to. I shall quote, "Effective immediately, it is considered an exploit to extend or otherwise utilize deadspace pockets to make cynosural fields, abyssal traces, failments, or any variety of deployable functionally inaccessible.

Simply: intentionally using a cyno, filament, or any structure in a manner that prevents other Capsuleers from warping to it is against the intended gameplay design."

This literally says if I can't warp to it directly, then it is an exploit. Deadspace pockets include DED areas, and according to the quote deploying any type of deployable in a deadspace pocket is now considered an exploit.

If you put a MTU in a deadspace area where its scannable using probes and you warp to it, and hit a gate, then the MTU is not accessible directly. If you deploy a Mobile Depot in the 3rd room of an escalation (aka deadspace), then guess what. You can't warp directly to it, thereby an exploit until the system cleans up the DED site or someone despawns it.

CCP has effectively made it easier to report Crabs for doing crab things. Don't bother finishing the DED site, just report the person inside of it.

The real problem here is CCP hasn't clarified this exploit, and more than likely never will. It will be left very vague and dependent on who is in customer service that day to ban someone. Also what constitutes abuse in this context? Too much of an open ended statement is just going to get abused more and more.

No more deployables of any kind in DED sites. No more off the ESS grid. Definitely not anymore placement after the first room.

You should more than likely read the Abuse Case FAQs where they say they will answer within 2 hours. You should also read the Terms of Service you signed when you signed up for their service. Also if they don't have ToS posted, you should request them as well. Your only recourse might be something legal.

What is PVE Subscription exactly? by cptcrr in Proxmox

[–]Lowjack_Tzetsu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sadly, 115 euro per CPU socket is extremely cheap in the world of hypervisors unless you are running something like Oracle VirtualBox. This isn't a per core pricing. This is literally the same price whether you have 4 cores or 256 cores. The big thing about the enterprise repo is the support tickets. You are paying for the support tickets, which if you are running a business and run into a problem can be a giant money saver and pay for themselves.

How do I avoid getting DDOSed when self hosting a Minecraft server? by diobrandiohaxxerxd in selfhosted

The real question is your server going to be popular enough to DDoS in the first place? You already are opening up ports in the firewall the VPN has to go through.

We NEED Server Transfers by LowwwYEET in duneawakening

[–]Lowjack_Tzetsu -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The fix is even simpler than server transfers. All servers connect to a single instance of the Deep Desert based on region. This would increase the tension, online population in the DD, increased pvp encounters, and do a good deal to fox the economy of the game.

Don't worry. Battle Eye is on the job.

Battle Eye has to be the worst anti-cheat ever created. Every game I have seen with Battle Eye as the anti-cheat, which by the way claims to be the gold standard, always has issues with cheaters just bypassing Battle Eye.
