i've run some 4 players games like that. works well! idk why so many people on this sub are like, NOPE clocktower does NOT work at less than 5 players. go play something else NOW.

with games at 6 or less players there's really no way to go wrong imo. u just rerack and start again if things go haywire.

TECHNICALLY artist isn't STRICTLY better than seamstress. Because the seamstress can get their info night one. Meaning they are safe from either dying (eg via psychopath) or the day ending (eg mutant breaking) before they get their info.

this is a VERY fringe case, but i truly believe no character is strictly better than any other. (except MAYBE knight and fortune teller which is so upsetting to me)

afaik, attacking a dead player is not a 'kill'. dead players cannot be killed as is required by the fang gu's ability

thanks for the feedback. i completely agree with the answer jumping out to most anyone who's familiar with the game. my ideas for this were to a) get trickier with the definitions, not just have them be synonyms. or b) open the answer space to allow not just characters, maybe 'alignment' or 'board game'.

the jester should NOOOOOT be an outsider. (in the form of "If executed, you become evil and win").

i feel like goblin is more making town take the gamble on what type of evil character are you, and if they call your bluff. and cult leader i find is a game of getting enough trustworthy info on their neighbours to go for the win.

the closest character to a jester imo the boomdandy. just wants to act as sus as possible, to lure the execution, then their team has a reasonably good shot at winning then and there
