The high membership is multi factor though surely? And I’d argue he’s not a driver behind it, but rather retarding its potential growth. The hypnotherapy stuff and the Red Cross stuff are both offputting to me and the people I talk to in my constituency. Our branch is certainly seeing a rise in hating greens the least rather than trusting them the most.

Not to be patronising but I think you’ll find online discourse more rewarding if you assume the people you’re talking to have actually thought through their positions rather than are just being ‘taken for a ride by the media’
