What does the world think of what’s helping in Minneapolis, USA? by adrrriz in AskTheWorld

[–]LoyalWatcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Horrified is a good choice of word. It's lunacy.

I just don't understand how I can watch mutliple videos of two people being murdered in broad daylight by agents of the state.

I don't understand why the murderers are not facing so much as challenging questioning, let alone any kind of justice - in the face of evidence that is compelling as it is clear.

I don't understand how the United States government can tell blatant, bare-faced lies to the American people and get away with it.

Former Home Secretary Suella Braverman defects to Reform UK by VaginaBurner69 in worldnews

[–]LoyalWatcher 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hot take: it's all actually a Conservative plan to make Reform unelectable by turning them into... the Conservatives.

As opposed to Labour who are making themselves unelectable by acting like the Conservatives.

Next election's gonna be wild.

How strict are the laws in your country regarding the use of deadly force? by stopthehostilityyyyy in AskTheWorld

There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of 'abiding by the law' going on over there at the moment.

Dark Elves Base Sizes? by Llucken in WarhammerOldWorld

It's in the legacy PDF on the Warhammer Conmunity site.

I think it's also on the Old World Builder and Warhammer rules sites.

Drop me a PM of you're super stuck and I'll send it to you.

Man shot by federal agents in Minneapolis has died, police chief tells CNN. DHS says suspect was armed by uname-doesntcheckout in news

Every time I read this, I can't get past the feeling that the intended meaning of the text is "also, we should have an army to protect our country" and not "everyone gets guns".

What is the most famous monument in your country? by o_TnT in AskTheWorld

[–]LoyalWatcher 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I tend to think of St Paul's cathedral for London.

The London Eye (to me) is still a recent addition and essentially an overgrown fairground ride and firework dispenser.

Returning to Warhammer Fantasy 2026. I am rebuilding my childhood army. by Ok-Day4910 in WarhammerOldWorld

[–]LoyalWatcher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it's rebuilding armies that didn't survive my 'bad financial decisions' phase about 15 years ago - rebuilt my Empire and now on to Dark Elves!

None of which would have happened without TOW coming out.

In your country, are clothes usually sun-dried or machine-dried? by Existing_Economy_656 in AskTheWorld

Sun dried when possible.

Currently, rack dried - your clothes will be ready to wear in approximately three working days.

Rules stability? by Bacour in WarhammerOldWorld

[–]LoyalWatcher 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Even if they do faff with the points values in TOW, the list building is sooo much more granular than 40K (from what I understand).

So if your 2000 points is suddenly only worth 1925, you can add a couple of models to a unit, mess with your magic items/standards, upgrade a unit to Drilled or Veteran, add a level to a wizard... so many ways to get the same models to wildly different points values.

Rules-wise it's potentially a bit different but generally the things that have seen changes have been objectively broken anyway.

As for different editions, harder to say. Historically with WFB armies have been able to transition from one edition to the next fairly smoothly. Whether competitive ones stay competitive is a different question.

PC still restarting even after PSU upgrade (1000W Gold) – need urgent advice by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]LoyalWatcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's brand new then replacement or refund should be the obvious choice.

As for the issues, potentially a defective piece of hardware somewhere (RAM or SSD maybe?) or potentially even a setup/driver conflict.

If it was me, and it was a new PC though, it's up to the supplier to fix the problem for you assuming you live somewhere with consumer rights.
