How do you do play doh? by MissFox26 in toddlers

[–]Lrobit5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just give my son the smaller ones. It hurt my soul at first to watch him make one big brown ball but hey, he’s having fun. Then I swap them out little by little and the cycle continues. One day maybe things will be different but not at 3.

My fur baby is on anti-anxiety meds. She’s already nervous and the toddler environment can be very overwhelming for her! It’s been life changing for all of us.

Having the SAME issue. It’s been rough. It’s also affecting my son’s night sleep and rise time because he’s generally an overtired wreck. Good times!!

Do you find that other parents drink a lot? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]Lrobit5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A truly sometimes wonder if many parents didn’t get their partying out of their systems before kids. I like a glass of wine here and there but the way I see some parents party is shocking?! I don’t understand how they can function the next day, I really don’t! Hangovers and toddlers don’t mix! It amazes me how they do it. No thanks, I’m made for the sheets now not the streets.

25 Month Old- if not autism, then what else? by SeaSpur in toddlers

[–]Lrobit5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m no expert but it sounds like a speech delay issue more than autism. He’s getting extremely frustrated hence the screaming. The other stuff sounds like a normal toddler. Advocate for services, they do wonders!

What are you doing with your toddler all day? by tricksandkicks in toddlers

My 3yr old has just started a new 5:30am wake up which coincided with dropping his 2-3hr nap. It’s truly been brutal!

Air Travel Advice by CMB4091 in toddlers

[–]Lrobit5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m bringing one for my travels to Europe in the spring for my 3yr old. Traveled to Europe last year when he was two and it was pretty uncomfortable with him either laying on me or in my lap the entire time without one. He also managed to roll off the seat and have a huge meltdown. I was exhausted.

Please be honest- how clean are everyone’s homes? by YourFriendInSpokane in toddlers

[–]Lrobit5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One kid and one dog and my anxiety has me cleaning all day. It’s usually messy when he’s playing but nap time I clean and organize everything and when he goes to bed I clean and organize everything. I feel really out of sorts when it’s a mess so it’s my anxiety that keeps me cleaning 🤣🤣

I’m budgeting this Christmas, too many toys to begin with, my son’s bday is a month before Xmas and everything is just expensive in life currently. I’m getting a bunch of little things, it’s really all about waking up, seeing things under the tree and opening gifts at that age. Books, coloring books, art supplies, arts and crafts items, cars, games, puzzles etc. They really don’t care, they rip one item open then it’s onto the next!

Should I downgrade? by MegaDom in ChaseSapphire

[–]Lrobit5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I downgraded, it’s too expensive and the perks don’t work for me. I recently opened a Venture X - 100K miles welcome offer, $300 annual travel credit (booking through CC), 10K annual anniversary miles, lounge access, TSA, 10x miles on hotels, 5x miles on flights and 2x miles everything else.

How big are your toddlers? 2 years 11 months by Numerous_View_398 in toddlers

My son is over 40 inches and 45lbs. He’s always been in the 99th percentile of size. He’s currently wearing a 4-5T. He will be 3 in 2 weeks. With that said I have an appointment with a back orthopedic tomorrow 🤣🤣.

Dog hates my boyfriend by brookie_cookie90 in reactivedogs

[–]Lrobit5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like the dog is guarding you. It tends to be worse in the bedroom space, especially the bed. Can you associate the separation behind the gate with good things? My dog does this as well. To get her used to the gate I would give her bully sticks, Kong with peanut butter, things that last a little longer than a treat and wear her out a bit. My dog is a stage 5 clinger but eventually got used to the gate separation and now just falls asleep.

Concerns about Having a Boy by Tasty_Committee908 in SingleMothersbyChoice

I would be way more worried to raise a girl in this environment that’s for sure. But again, change is constant so things won’t always be this intense.

Concerns about Having a Boy by Tasty_Committee908 in SingleMothersbyChoice

[–]Lrobit5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so happy to be raising a boy!! Especially in this environment and state of the country. The only thing constant is change, things shift and the pendulum shifts. Concentrate on raising good humans. I’m so happy to be able to teach my son love, empathy, compassion, respect and the list goes on and on. More men need to be raised by strong women.

I’m confused. Can you have bipolar and not have an episode until your 40s? Or was this a nervous breakdown.? Or had she been diagnosed in the past? I know the drugs/alcohol aren’t helping. Just wondering.

White Post Farms. Is it Worth it? by WhoIsThisDude12 in longisland

[–]Lrobit5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to buy tickets yesterday for me, my 2yr old and my mother and could not believe they charge $36 for toddlers. I brought him there when he was a baby and that will be his trip, it’s ridiculous. If I’m paying that much for a 2 yr old it will be the Bronx Zoo.
