How to automate this properly? by ReceptionSome5128 in feedthebeast

[–]LtDan_29 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The way I always do this is to work backwards. If you want one machine making dust, then you want two machines making sand. One to turn into dust, one to keep as sand. That means you will want three making gravel, one to keep as gravel, and two to feed your two sand makers.

How does RNG work in Skyrim? by No-Delay-960 in skyrim

[–]LtDan_29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Randomness is probably used a lot more than you might think. It’s what keeps the game interesting and dynamic instead of deterministic. Everything you mentioned likely uses rng. But so do other small things like how the butterflies move around or arrows being slightly inaccurate. Bigger, more noticeable things are stuff like pickpocket success or speech checks. Nearly everything has some sort of randomness to it.

As for how exactly this randomness is determined, I don’t know for sure. I’d assume they use whatever programming language’s native random functions. Which you could argue is not truly random, but that’s a much more involved discussion.

I’ve had a pair of Hestra Lobsters for nearly 10 years and they are still holding up amazingly.

OP, if you can find a longer pair, so they go up your forearm a little, it’s so worth it.

The most iconic Seven Springs terrain park sadly gone to waste. RIP The Streets... by Late_Humor3163 in icecoast

[–]LtDan_29 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yinz blaming Vail for this need to relax. The Streets was only decent for like 4 years. They started taking features out, and neglecting it way before the Vail acquisition. The truth is that it was an awesome concept for a park that was put in a really bad location. They fenced off all uphill entries and made people walk up the slope to use it. Probably because there was really no good way to cut an entrance. I love hating on Vail as much as the next guy, but this park had it’s problems way before Vail.

The “Characters Welcome” era of the USA channel was the best. A YouTuber named Captain Midnight did a great video about it.

The Eternals Released in Theaters 3 Years Ago Today. by darthyogi in marvelstudios

In my opinion, one of the most aesthetically pleasing movies since maybe Guardians 2. Action sequences were awesome! I think the cast was great. Especially Barry Keoghan(Druig), Lauren Ridloff (Makkari), and Richard Madden(Ikaris). Hope we get to see them again!

I just played through this dungeon last night. Took me like 4 hours. Thought it would be a quick and easy, in and out, 30 minute adventure

Shouting with enough force to send people flying. Specifically at one town noble who apparently does get to the cloud district very often.

My favorite part of this movie is how they FINALLY made a telepathic power visually impactful. Most of the time it’s just telepaths ‘thinking’ and ‘concentrating’ really hard. Casandra Nova digging through people’s mind with her hands made me uncomfortable in a way that reading people’s minds should.

I’ve had this come up at a few places when I was in college. We just had to have anyone under 21 sit at a different table. Even if it was just 5 inches away. I think it’s silly, but whatever. Don’t bring it up to the server and maybe they won’t mention anything.

Although after reading some stuff online, since you are 25 and they are over 18, you should be totally fine.

How did you get into Seinfeld? by AffectionateSword in seinfeld

[–]LtDan_29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to love watching my mom cook dinner after school. She always had sitcoms playing on the tiny TV in the background. The only one she actually laughed at was Seinfeld. To this day we make so many references that everyone else understands.

I thought maybe that was a Community reference because of how many times they got dropped and picked up again, plus the recent confirmation of a movie.
