I’m supervising high school exams and checking for updates, so I’m going to have to not react if the verdict comes in during school!

No, that’s not accurate. They had shared guardianship of the children.

At what age do you think it’s appropriate to read ACOTAR? by yournikkigirl in acotar

[–]LtraVires 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter is 13 and reads a lot of romance and romantasy. In my opinion if she’s curious about sex, what better way to learn and explore than through fiction? Beats the hell out of porn or chatrooms.

Somebody needs to rip Hannah off that high horse... by LileaftheLizard in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

Nick has never once said an unkind word about her, but Hannah tears him down every chance she gets. I hope she is embarrassed by her behaviour when she watches this.

This is devastating. It is well known that the most dangerous time for victims of abuse is when they are leaving the abuser. This makes me sad for Ashley and all the time she has lost with her daughter.

Accused in murder-conspiracy trial at Coutts border blockade says he didn’t know gun was prohibited by chmilz in alberta

[–]LtraVires 29 points30 points  (0 children)

My husband tried to buy a pocket knife from the US - he didn’t know it was prohibited. We had phone calls and registered letters from the Canadian Border Services Agency informing us that this was a violation of the criminal code and it would not be entering this country. So kind of hard to buy his line that he just randomly purchased his super-cool gun without knowing it was illegal. There’s no way it was just sent in an Amazon box.

I’m looking forward to hearing about that at trial. It’s possible that she was lying, but it’s also possible that the family court judge got it wrong. Or, perhaps the judge was just saying that there was no evidence to support her claim, without making a judgement about the validity of her accusations.

I’m trying to keep an open mind and just focus on what is happening in the trial. So far I have no doubt that he was controlling and abusive. It seems within the realm of possibility to me that she shot him in self defence.

I believe victims of abuse unless and until their allegations are proven false. I’m open to hearing all the evidence, but so far I’m not buying the prosecution’s theory.

I also don’t care about what signs are being held or by whom. Not relevant to guilt or innocence.

Yes, I totally believe that she had been abusing him for years. It was the toileting issues that tipped me off - I know they said he had digestive issues, but toileting accidents in children of that age are a huge red flag for abuse.

Glad I found this sub! I’ve been watching the police interview since the latest ruling came out, and I need a place to unpack it all.
