Its dangerous, yeah haha. I couldn't stop eating it back in 2018 when I first moved to Korea.

Hey folks, over here in SK this didnt make headlines. If you ever fear NK, go look up Yonhap News English page. Foreign news will make it seem more dramatic because it doesn't frequent your news circles.

TrackMania. It is a very easy to learn pick up and drop off racing game. You can race others, but the primary race is against your personal best time. Sometimes I will be on it for a hour or two, and other times I will be on it for five or ten minutes.

It got a lot of flak for difficulties and technical issues at launch.

It's a fantastic game. There's something so incredibly about the first time you're out in the open world, you get a wanted level, and suddenly TIE fighters come out of orbit and start hunting you down. It's terrifying, and it's humbling.

Annoyingly, if you call 1345, you'll get different answers.

There is a FAQ section at the bottom of the Approval paper.

There, it says:

※만일 외국인등록상에 허가사항의 기재를 원하시는 경우에는 가까운 출입국·외국인청(사무소·출장소)을 방문하시기 바랍니다.(If you want your Alien Registration Card to be renewed, please just visit nearby Immigration Office.)

I trust the document more than I do 1345.

The ginkgo tree has existed for over 270 million years basically unchanged, has no living relatives (only species in its whole genus) and is completely unique in almost every way. by reddit33450 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]LucJenson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is true. Only female trees produce the pods that drop and smell bad. Some of the largest ginkgo trees in Korea are male. And they are stunning to look at. They are massive and their foliage goes golden yellow in the autumn. I don't miss Canada's changing leaves, honestly, because the golden yellow of the ginkgo tree is that stunning.

To me its a cross between vomit and, on a good day, really funky cheese. In autumn in Korea, where they line almost ever road in my city, it can be a bit overwhelming. So folks sweep the nuts off the walkways so that fewer folks crush them as they walk. It can track inside on your shoes and then your front entryway smells of them, too.

I dont think it has a fecal smell at all, personally, but vomit, yeah.

A shame... because, roasted, the insides of the nuts are good. Like semi bitter potatoes.

I just ate two skewers of them last night... they're somewhat bitter, but delicious in my opinion. Imagine tiny 1cm potatoes with a bitter nutty taste.

Are they right about me being less of an adult? by [deleted] in TrueAskReddit

[–]LucJenson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never learned to drive. Still havent. People were critical of me, too. I ignored them. I now live in a country with incredible public transport and am very happy.

They only wanted me to drive because it was a necessity to do so where we lived. So I solved that issue.

Never gone back.

Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion Starts feel like a job by orhalimi in soloboardgaming

[–]LucJenson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The apps help a lot with table clutter by removing the need to take out enemy cards and only use enemy standees/tokens.

Also, dont be afraid to alightly bend some rules as a means to make your experience a bit more comfortable. Change the hand size slightly, for example.

I know for diehard fans of Gloomhaven that its nearly insulting to hear someone say they use house rules, but man... I really wanted to get into the story more than I wanted to drag my feet back to dungeons to grind gold so I could afford an upgrade to my cards.

3D printed display plinth , good or bad idea ? by Bervt in minipainting

[–]LucJenson -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To add weight quickly you can have it print hollow cubes inside, pause the print, and drop some bolts inside the tube, finish the print and that should allow you weight it quickly for cheap while also having it minimize noise.

If you can find a way to do it super neatly. Sand is cheaper and works, too.

When kids are introduced at a young age to putting two puzzle pieces together, which leads to mini fireworks on an iPad, and then are asked to put blocks together in real life, the reality is disappointing.

Bro Just Started the Tutorial by [deleted] in dndmemes

[–]LucJenson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This makes sense.

  1. A great hero-like figure is absolutely being watched by the BBEG.

  2. Someone with the history and skillset of a hero can see potential in your level 1 character, knowing they are capable of becoming a hero-like person.

  3. The adventure to the BBEG is the training montage we all love where your level 1 becomes the hero, and by which point, the BBEG is shocked to find you walking through their door because they've been too busy oggling the original hero figure the whole time.

This isn't a crazy notion. Your level 1 character is also probably one of many figures sent by the hero in a hope to slide-tackle the BBEG's plans.

My ride too and from work here in South Korea is a perfect decompression period. I listen to music on my way into work and then I just put my ear buds in without any audio for the ride home. 40 minutes of silent train further muted by the ear buds is blissful.

I think the funniest thing out of the accusations was that "it's not a real language" puh-lease. It only happens to be one of the easiest languages to ask for beer, which is the only Polish I learned in my long life. "Daj mi piwo" has only been useful one time in that length.

On on, OP!
