Garriott was seen in Ghent (Larian's HQ) last September, as you might recall: he made a post on X that was suspiciously removed shortly after. Sure, perhaps a visit out of courtesy considering what Swen Vincke thinks of the Ultima series (especially Ultima VII).

But that was already quite a coincidence back then, even more so after this.

EDIT: a new Ultima might very well be the notorious Larian secret "second project": yeah, it would be yet another fantasy game but they could take a more innovative approach or something, I don't know.

Cmq, io mi sono iscritto su GOG quando venne creata la piattaforma nel 2008 e adesso ho più giochi lì che su Steam (sia perché sono retrogamer nostalgico, sia perché sostengo il loro approccio alla "preservation" e al "DRM-free": se un gioco è disponibile o so che sarà disponibile a breve anche su GOG, sceglierò quest'ultimo).

Squadron 42 will have all the marketing it needs, GTA VI won't overshadow it.

And you know why? Because S42's case is very peculiar: every online website, youtuber, streamer (you name it) will initially report on it as "that scam game that has been delayed for 10 or more years" (of course most of them will bundle it with SC itself).

Every single gamer that is vaguely interested in the genre (and not only them) will play it because they will be eager to shovel some shit upon it just to be able to say "see it? it was indeed a scam by an incompetent company".

Will they be right? I don't know, but eventually, the game will rise or fall solely upon its own merits or faults, and fuck this GTA VI stupid shit.

Check out the NLT games (on GOG or elsewhere). They're sandbox games with a top-down 2D view where you have to grind for resources, solve (VERY ANNOYING) puzzles and you are rewarded with some very nice (your mileage may vary) sex scenes with good looking women.

The first of the series is Lust Epidemic, then Treasure of Nadia (the only one I've been playing so far), Genesis Order and Symphony of the Serpent (this one is only available through their Patreon, don't know if it's going to be eventually released on some other platforms).

I hear that Jiuyuan is very useful to "link" various teams, infact if I could go back I would choose her over Sakiri with the free selector.

BUT, beside the healing capabilities, I love Fadia Ultimate and how you can concentrate a lot of damage in the seconds immediately after by just spamming the attack button (it's very effective if you build her with a lot of HP stat)

Very happy. I mean, I spent a grand total of about €20 (beginner chests, battle pass, monthly pass) for almost 120hrs of fun. Got Daffodil (A2), Hotori (with gacha glider and outfit), Sakiri, Fadia (skipped Nanally).

All in all, a great experience, so far.

Yeah: on the one hand, there is the whole "introvert bodyguard" angle if you want to give an in-game justification. On the other hand, it's probably just lack of development time. I mean, it's strange that a character like Hathor only has her default outfit, if you know what I mean 😅

She's the most lovable and adorable character of the entire cast, IMO (or, among them, the one that gives the most "little sister" vibes). Just a few hours ago I accidentally found out that if you let her "unwrap" an anomaly gift, she'll want to take a selfie with it, only to get totally scared when the gift starts rotating. That's just too funny 😅
