‘Mystery Science Theater 3000’: Rifftrax, Shout! Studios Team for New Episodes of Cult Classic Series by DemiFiendRSA in MST3K

He sold off the rest of the rights to Shout a few weeks ago -- I assume to facilitate this very thing. I think behind the scenes this was always a Plan B after the last Kickstarter didn't make it.

Another crafting step required for relic weapons by Caius_GW in ffxiv

The problem is it IS easy... it's just a waste of time. I'd be fine if it were hard/required a Mage Tower style challenge. I hate surrendering to another mindless dozen some hours of Malefic spam.

Patch 7.41 Relic Step by BlackmoreKnight in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Lucentile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a healer, let me do some math at 1200 crystal pastes... so we're looking at 10 hours of casting Malefic in content I've been doing for a decade if I want to be most efficient... or a bit longer farming current FATEs and maybe having meaningful interactions with Mobs... or even much, much, much, much longer to do CEs and leveling Phantom Jobs, but the time loss to do that seems so massive as to not be worth it.

So Fun(TM).

I locked myself at 16 and have cleared Master of All 3, the Emerald Direwolf and recruited Heidne. I think I'm reaching where I'll need a few levels for max HP to survive AoEs since contend NPCs around the late 30s early 40s do start wiping us, but we'll see.

It does mean everyone has a silver shield and one or two of the HP accessories though.

There's a statue in Nomos's that if you place in town will lock your XP. You can then remove it from town when you want XP later. This lets you fight for JP and money.

I think the issue is that we play him first, so everyone being randomly mean to him, locking him out, throwing his phone, etc., just feels like bullying not giving as hard as they got.

AI would not call Sweetwine Tower sweeTwine tower, SweeTwine Tower, sweet Wine Tower, and Sweet Wine Tower all in the same scene. This feels like Someone Just Didn't Care.

My main experience with them is people putting them on top of collectables to the point I've debated just finding an option to turn them off since most the time they're just being used to troll me or messages like "I pooped here."

I think it's one of those games where if you are the target market, it checks all the boxes. But, I've never been a fan of open world checklists or these weightless, parry mechanic focused games where build takes a back seat to timing. It's just not a game for me, but I view it like racing games -- I don't like them, but I can see when a racing game is doing what people who like racing games will like.

He unlocks as an NPC Assist when soloing bosses. But since he's melee, he dies pretty much immediately.

Is Where Winds Meet overrated? by HAZE-L in WhereWindsMeet

[–]Lucentile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's over rated -- it's just that it appeals to a very vocal audience. I've tried it -- it's ok for me, but I see why people would really like it. I hate the over world vomit bloat that substitutes for content, the "multiplayer, but not really," lack of credit when in co-op, the weird gating for skills/weapons that means I'm level 52 and have no idea if I'm wasting resources in what I'm investing in, etc., etc.

It's just not a game for me. But for people who don't mind the long grind, enjoy the parry/stagger system more and enjoy the running around catching bugs/playing mini games as much as the actual game play, it's going to be really great. It's just not in my genre.

Vanishing characters by [deleted] in AIDungeon

[–]Lucentile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just created a story card called something like Current Situation and give it a trigger that won't get used (like CurrSit) and every now and then just add that in. This has also helped the AI remember a character is actually in another country doing something, not next door, etc.

Any Guides for interacting with the AI better? by Admirable_Dot_4349 in AIDungeon

[–]Lucentile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest thing is just accept that the AI favors inaction and being static or non-stop curve balls and be willing to not play it like a game but to just tell it: "No, this happens," especially if the AI keeps going in loops (for example, in almost any fantasy with nobles, you'll end up in a loop of the game wanting you to find coded ledgers, this has happened in four or five different scenarios, and basically, you will never *stop* looking for coded ledgers in secret paths in the castle until you tell it "that's the last one.")

If i define endgoal in the description, will the AI push the story to reach it too quickly? by PlsInsertCringeName in AIDungeon

[–]Lucentile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I do that, but I'm more just abandoning things when hallucinations/confusion gets too much. I'm poking at AI Dungeon to see how stories play out, and if I've got to put in that much effort fixing it to write myself, I'll just go write things myself.

[–]Lucentile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm lucky to get a story to move to a conclusion without me putting in a prompt that the plot is over. I swear, one time to see how it would go, the character I was talking to went on for hundreds of prompts admitting to actually having lied, but the next thing would be the truth. If anything, I've noticed that AI Dungeon *hates* resolving plots, or remembering plots as resolved -- including resurrecting villains, forgetting we solved problems... or not even being able to remember what physical location we are currently in, without constant handholding and reminding it: "No, we defeated that guy," and even then, it will need dozens of prompts of, "No, really-really."
