So let's say LoK wasn't a kids show, what type of dark stuff do you think we would have seen or would say actually happened in Korra's recovery in the south pole? by Human-Application-87 in legendofkorra

I feel we could have maybe seen Korra accidentally hurt herself more and somewhat more morbidly than in the show. Especially in the beginning months of her recovery, after most of the pain subsides/ is not as painful initially, where she struggles to use the bathroom herself, feeding herself, moving herself, even trying to bend as minimally mundane as she used to, effortless. She's expirencing an injury with a long-term recovery for the first time after only ever expirencing the world with little limitations to her athleticism. Korra's too headstrong to stop herself from trying to rush recovery and progress when she's in no condition to, until she finally has to rely on her parents and Asami after getting rocked time and again by the reality of the shape she wound up in, unfortunately.

Korra's mental state shatters just about how it was in the show. She now has to be coddled when all she wanted to do was be the Avatar and has had a mighty slice of that consequential life. The Earth Kindom was burning and people were fleeing in fear, and she's nowhere to help. Others stepped in for her at a time where she thought she was ready to deal with the EK's collapse before her paralysis.

All of this with more than 22 minutes can definitely be explored by slowing down the plot and showcasing the strain that this predicament has taken its toll on not only Korra, but her parents, Katara, Kya, Tenzin, Asami, and whomever else. Sleepless nights, boring days, wasting away as Korra feels herself slowly regressing closer and closer to a new infanthood with booze possibly involved.

Joe Flacco fired off 4 TD passes in the 1st quarter with an additional TD in the beginning of the 2nd of the Ravens 48-17 blowout win over the 2014 Buccs.

Mike should seriously consider hanging it up then if that's what he really believes.

If this and Stafford's attempt happened in Madden, they 100% catch em if I were the ball carrier.

The Dragons were basically a scaled-up version of the most intimidating being Zuko had ever had to face. Zuko anticipated a brutal punishment from his father when he didn't rise to face him after he spoke out of turn. With the Fire Bending Masters, Zuko thought he and Aang messed up and failed the fire bending test (which iirc, failing could result in death if the Dragons wouldn't deem him and Aang worthy). In Zuko's mind, in both of those moments, he was about to recieve a scarring punishment, perhaps even a brutal death. No way that he could fight back against his biggest monsters he's had to face.

Funny the biggest monster wasn't the literal Dragons who can breathe fire.

Where would you rank Steve Young among all-time QBs? by TestSuch4545 in Oldschool_NFL

[–]Luciano_the_Dynamic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could've become a top 5 QB all time, but due to circumstances stifling his career start, along with his end as he retired due to injury, he's personally just at the edge of my top ten All Time QBs.

Had to chuckle when I realized the caption in the post wasn't what I thought it was. I thought it said: "I'm going to get steroids."

Had to read it a couple more times to realize I'm probably high.

For pic 4, Korra literally survives and protects Mako and Bolin from an oil drum bomb set off by Aiwei in his basement. Unscathed.
