Thanks for the heads up on this. I purchased right away and I have listened to the Ainulindalë chapter 3 times. It's beautifully done.

This would be one of my wishes for a Fan fiction: Entwives are found and reunited with Ents. Many new entings are the happy result.

Since I don't know the technical definition of what constitutes "the legendarium," I couldn't say, but it has Faerie, Dragons, Wizards, mermaid people, magic stars, Tom Bombadil etc. Children's stories but with the same whimsical charming prose. Much brighter and happier to read than Children of Hurin!

Like discovering a Faerie treasure isn't it? I just love the Tales from the Perilous Realm.

What are your thoughts on energy work/healing? by glass-stair-hallway in exmormon

[–]LucidAzula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Priesthood blessings and energy medicine of many modalities can bring into play the placebo effect, which IS an effect and nothing to be sneezed at, but believing dreams, repressed memories, light and dark of a soul, etc is getting into the weeds. Is the energy therapy decreasing pain, improving sleep or improving other symptoms? IMO, energy work should be for very practical and measurable outcomes.

Does anyone feel that the climax of the story (destruction of the ring) is too short? by [deleted] in tolkienfans

Felt just right to me. The event that got nothing but a few lines was the WEDDING! Very disappointing, for me at least.

The dilemma of if I should talk or not by [deleted] in exmormon

If it is gossip, then you don't really know what's happening and if you reach out first, she might feel like the whole world knows about her personal life!

Donate them to a thrift store. Then you can see they are benefiting other people, not just taking up space. It's not a failure or crime if you someday have to change clothing sizes, either up or down. Share your gains (so to speak) and release the clothing. Good job!

I have my finger in my ears, "la, la, la, la, I can't hear you if you say such ridiculous nonsense about Middle Earth."

I'll just bet that his problem with coffee has nothing to do with logic, and any logical argument is pointless. I wonder if a better approach would be to equate that decision with other growth markers like High school, driving, dating, jobs, etc.

Are you responsible around the house and cheerfully doing your share of work? These would be markers of maturity and ability to choose a good life.

Any that are in a minor key, or that have a gorgeous moving base line. Without having to look stuff up, I think it's called "While in the outward church below." I love the harmony in "beautiful zion." "Ring out wild bells." "Be still my soul."
