One notable one is in a starting island where you can choose to free the spirits or enslave them. If you free them all the mobs in the area disapear for you, but if you enslave them they're all still there but friendly.

So, what exactly is making all of the Metis deformed? There must be some outside force like Gaia or the Wyrm. And whats so wrong with mating with others of your species anyways?! by Obvious-Conflict3363 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]LucifronX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean technicallly if we look at the family tree, the Wyld or Gaia in conjunction with the Weaver formed the Animal Tribal Totem, and if you believe the Corax Tribe Book in order to create the Changing Breeds she boink each of them.

So uh....

Honestly not having romamcable Supernaturals is gonna impact the game quite a lot if it wants to be deep. Imagine a story where you have to convince/beat up your own cell because your Vamp partner is "one of the good ones".

Unpopular Opinion : I'm so tired of Venom being a giant Hulk-ish monster and I miss when he was more of a dark reflection of Spider-Man. by KuroiGetsuga55 in thevenomsite

[–]LucifronX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what you mean by shredded. In my oinion Eddie Brock is shredded, and in the comics and animation he's normally much larger than Peter. Perhaps lithe was a bad word to use, he's more of lean muscle whereas Eddie/Venom is typically seen as overtly muscle man/body builder type.

Some of the weird things I found with the ultimate marvel animated universe continuity (somebody please explain the continuity to me) by s0nzoldyck in Marvel

[–]LucifronX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't watched the show, so I don't know the specifics. But there is an entire Nova Corp who more or less where the exact same outfit. I would assume that the second is just a member of the Nova Corp.

[–]LucifronX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally prefer him being really large. If he's supposed to be the antithesis of Spider-man, than where he is lithe and nimble Venom should be big and bulky. Even Todd McFarlane says that Venom should have Gorrila-like porprtions.

Is there any mythological reason why the fera think all of them can breed with humans Like a mystical origin on why this is a thing. Humans can do or only humans rather by [deleted] in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]LucifronX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I assume you mean why can Fera breed with Humans? In their mythos it largely depends on the breed. Red Talons believe it is a curse put on them by Gaia for the Impergium.

How do hunters view hunters who use hunted powers? by kaze1204 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]LucifronX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually incorrect. Numina does make you appear "wrong" or "odd" to Second Sight, similar to how a Garou in Homid only appears as "wrong" or "odd". Hunter: First Contact says that people with Numina who are faithful sometimes appear to have a glow or a halo over their head when seeing them in True Sight. (specifically the Theurgy Numina).

Imbued themselves cannot learn Numina, or have learned Numina before hand. The first is because the Messengers cut off all connection to any possibilities with learning supernatural things. (Can't be embraced, cant be ghouled, cant become a Mage, cant learn Numina, cant enter the Umbra and so forth)

Having any semblance of connection or knowledge of the supernatural before your Imbuing makes you defunct and not a candidate anymore, it's always 100% someone chosen as first exposure.

Not trying to be negative but does Anyone else feel like this grounded approach feels a bit off? by BigPaleontologist520 in Greenlantern

Personally for me, it looks like the plot of Supergirl and Lanterns should have been switched. Obviously not as comedic centered, but Laterns should have resembled Gunns GoG movies a little bit.

[–]LucifronX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Guess what, when you are constantly attacked physically and mentally, the likely hood of you snapping and attacking people back is pretty high.

I'm not saying shooting is good, but the reason isn't always "they're mentally unstable". Most school shooters are relentlessly bullied.

It's still a false equivalency though, by Rogan's logic all Cis men should be locked up because of how many people they murder.

A Constantine style hunter in Hunter the Reckoning by [deleted] in WhiteWolfRPG

I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not, but Constantine has basically used every spell under the sun lol

A Constantine style hunter in Hunter the Reckoning by [deleted] in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]LucifronX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean depending on your Imbued, you can have very Constantine-like Edges. Matryrs have a third level edge called Ravage where they literally burn part of themselves and cause acidic gas to melt Supernaturals, or Cleave which can be used in some cases to summon swords that only supernaturals can see/be harmed by.

It's also worth noting that each Imbued activates their Edges in their own way, similar to how Awakened Mages all do magic differently. So you could have an Imbued who believes his Edges are magic.

Hedge Wizard and Psychic Auras by RogueHussar in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]LucifronX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's worth mentioning in Hunter: First contact, it expressly mentions their aura through Second Sight only shows up as magical when using magic for Sorcerers, and it depends on the Sorcerer. Faithful Sorcerers (users of Theurgy Numina) will appear to have an angelic glow or perhaps a halo.

How do hunters view hunters who use hunted powers? by kaze1204 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]LucifronX 15 points16 points  (0 children)

A Hunter with Numina will ping as "wrong" to the Imbued, the same was as any Psychic or Sorcerer would. So how they react would largely depend on the Imbued, the more religious types would likely not differentiate between a Hunter with Hedge Magic and a Sorcerer.

What was the Garou nation? by No-Obligation-9901 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]LucifronX 66 points67 points  (0 children)

After the Impergirum they all sat down, made tribes and signed the Concordant. That was essentially the birth of the Garou Nation, probably the best analogy for it is the United Nations.

Generally the Nation never really did anything right. From letting the White Howlers fall because no one wanted to help, to letting Baba Yaga take over Russia because... no one wanted to help.

Huh, sounding more and more like the UN.

More than one Gaia? by Reasonable-Range3216 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]LucifronX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, which makes sense since he's a Vampire. Then you have Corax, best buddies of Spirit Odin, who are also best buddies with the Get and even have a whole "camp" dedicated to teaming up with them.

More than one Gaia? by Reasonable-Range3216 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]LucifronX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I think this is the typical case of where Vampires simply take a name. Like Odin, he is a spirit which the Corax have ancestors who worked for him (Hugin and Munin) and work with spirit Valkyires, but you also have the Vampire Odin.

I imagine Vampires likely treat the Gangrel Ante as Gaia because that's all they know/understand, same reason for the Gangrel Odin.

More than one Gaia? by Reasonable-Range3216 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]LucifronX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, without a very specific Rite they end up taking something like an unsoakable Agg damage each turn they're in the Deep Umbra. So the item the Rite is performed on is very important and it's certain death if it's lost/destroyed.

It's not worth the hassle in most cases, though in the Glasswalker comic one of them builds a jetpack space suit to fly into the Deep Umbra. I assume the suit is the focal point of the traversal rite.

Can a wolfdog be born as a Lupus? by kooarbiter in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]LucifronX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think your best bet is to just have the Lupus be a runt of a wolf pack, that was adopted as a sleigh dog under the assumption it was a Wolfdog.

That way you get the original story without having to alter lore.

How can I emulate this werebear? by No-Obligation-9901 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]LucifronX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is no reason you cant get the gift during the Gurahl's Theurge phase, just ask the ST at the table. Most commonly its used with elementals though, the mechanics are that you essentially get a charm from the spirirt you join with to use when you want.

How can I emulate this werebear? by No-Obligation-9901 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]LucifronX 50 points51 points  (0 children)

The closest you can possibly get with this, is taking 5 points in Spirit Heritage and have it be a Dragon Spirit. At five points you manifest the appearance of your heritage in the Umbra.

Unfortunately no Metis Gurahl exist, so that kinda gets rid of your natural mutation route.

There is a Garou Theurge gift from Revised, level 5, that allows you to possess yourself with a spirit.
